Police in Tokyo have arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder after he stabbed a high school boy in the back with a kitchen knife.
The incident occurred at around 1 p.m. Saturday on a street in Minato Ward, Sankei Shimbun reported. The victim suffered minor wounds, police said, adding his life was not in danger.
Police said the suspect went to the same school as the victim but dropped out earlier this year. He called 110 himself and remained at the scene until police arrived.
Police quoted the suspect as saying, “I stabbed him with the intention of killing him."
Police said the two boys knew each other and that there were several other young people present at the time of the incident.

After reading this story and the young suspect said he intended to kill his victim. Even thought his admission of guilt is wrong this leads me to think this was nothing but and act of retaliation perhaps from bullying stabbing someone from behind is basically an sneak attack the two boys knew each other from the same school, the suspect dropped out, he called 110 himself and remained at the scene until police arrived. There was a lot of anger there now the young man has to go to jail.

agree it’s quite sad and I hope the child can get some mental help on his way to a better way to control anger. Family counseling should be demanded and thank goodness the victim was not harmed seriously. Some serious effort needs to be investigated onto the actual cause and address the issues head kn. 16 and going to jail is only going to make him worse. Not sure jail is the right answer but I/we don’t know the situation and well some kids are just bad sad to say. Helps hope something positive can come of this horrible situation. Once again glad the victim is okay
