Police in Shari, Hokkaido, have arrested an 83-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting his 57-year-old son by hitting him on the head several times with a handheld vacuum cleaner.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at the house where they both live, NTV reported.
Police said the son suffered minor injuries, including bleeding from the head. He called 110 after the incident.
Police said the victim’s father had been drinking heavily at the time and admitted to hitting his son. He was quoted as saying, “I did it in a fit of anger."

How do these minor domestic violence reach the police and media? They should be able to resolve them without the police.

Sounds like he really cleaned his clock.

The mention of the vacuum cleaner is a litte frivolous. The headline is designed to attract attention, but the reality is, irrespective of the implement, a father repeatedly bashed his son in the head. There is nothing funny about that.
