China adds security cameras around Japan school after student fatally stabbed

Weird there were not enough cameras.

China literally has surveillance cameras in people's homes.

Just lip-service from the Chinese regime.

It is not enough, their regime should for example stop flaming all this anti-japanese propaganda but I have my hopes low about such matters.

It would be easy to increase police foot patrols in the area, and it's diplomatically prudent.

a lot of cameras in china conveniently 'didnt record the incident' when it doesnt suit the government's narrative. strange that

@tokyo-star: :a lot of cameras in china conveniently 'didnt record the incident' when it doesnt suit the government's narrative. strange that"

too true. all "made in china" electronics have backdoors and kill-switches controlled by china-gov.

Cameras and no guards? How about increased presence of guards?

China’s government anti-Japanese propaganda is fueling these hate crimes.

better yet, stop fanning the flames of hatred with all of the anti-japanese videos and stories in china.

A number of Chinese have been killed in Japan this year.

Was it the result of all the anti-Chinese lies spread by the warmongers?

Can you provide evidence or a link? I could find none.

Today China is the undeniable warmonger. Militant and drunk on nationalism and territorial expansion.

Back in 1937 Japan was. But hasn't been for 79 years.

Not a good comparison. How many did the Japanese kill, 25 million in Asia? You make China look like an Angel.

"A number of Chinese have been killed in Japan this year."

You post just two links. The Osaka one was reported on this site. No one was killed and the attacker was another Chinese man.

Your second link was from last year, 2023.

@Wallace

I did not post that. As mentioned, it’s the browser you’re using. I bet the sites you use have algorithms that quickly point you to the current articles of the 10 year old Japanese boy that just died. I read in Chinese as English is not my go to language. You’ll find plenty in Chinese webpages.

From the looks of it, the perpetrator with issues has committed crimes before. I couldn’t say with certainty he was targeting specifically a Japanese.

China’s government anti-Japanese propaganda is fueling these hate crimes.

Utterly nonsense! The Chinese govt. did not praise anything about Japan but nothing is propaganda of anti Japan. The Japanese govt. polluting the Pacific Ocean with Fukushima cooling water was dangerous and drawing neighbours concerns. Even Japanese people were concerning that unwise decision from Kishida !

Do cameras prevent stabbing ? If someone wants to stab kids, they probably don't care about getting caught.

I did not post that.

You replied the comment with links that were supposed to support the comment, but didn’t. Either way you were incorrect.

@OssanAmerica

Back in 1937 Japan was. But hasn't been for 79 years.

To Japan's neighbors Japan still is, because Japan never apologized to them.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

How people forget that there is a history of stabbings of school children in China for decades. It was especially bad in 2010 where 90 died from stabbing incidents. All students were Chinese. I'll be the first to criticize anti Japanese racism and probably the Chinese government and some of its citizens. But I highly doubt this was anything more than some unstable individual stabbing someone (that could have been anyone)

This June, Chinese female bus crew had been killed when she guarded Japanese child and mother from criminal. All countries or every races have bad faith and good faith.

But, Japanese media who look back and mention to it is little.

Japanese far-rights now exploit this murder case to incite hostility against China among Japanese through SNS, There is also risk that someone plot "retaliation" against Chinese-related people at Japanese society.

Absolutely incorrect. Japanese government has apologized to its neighbor many times for its war past. I see a rise in this falsehood that Japan has 'never' apologized for its past on the internet.

@Samit Basu:

Japan never made sincerely apology to her neighbours. The LDP always seeking any opportunity to glorified and legitimate Japan 's wartime conducts and actions.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Fukushima waste water release were somehow responsible for the murder of a Japanese boy in Shenzhen.

NO! That crazy man who committed murder must be punished in full extent of Chinese law, he will be sent to the firing squad. But people were angry at Japan 's arrogance and despising manner of without consulting the neighbours and just spilt the water as fast as they could done. Neither the above two things can be legitimately done !

As a 1.4 billion kg gorilla, China should take the high road rather than the low road all of the time.

This is the level-headed response. There isn’t any evidence that the boy was targeted because he was Japanese. It seems to be an isolated case.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Japan never made sincerely apology to her neighbours.

sounds more like the CCP doesnt want to accept it sincerely, as making japan an eternal enemy suits its nationalistic propaganda purposes. its like apologizing to someone going lalalalala with their fingers in their ears
