Police in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, have arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of killing his 32-year-old wife who died in hospital on Sunday, one week after she was strangled at their home.

According to police, Shinta Suda was charged with the attempted murder of his wife Wakana on Nov 3, NHK reported. Their eldest daughter called police and said her parents were fighting and that her father was strangling her mother.

Wakana was taken to hospital in a state of cardiac arrest but died at around noon on Sunday without regaining consciousness. The charge was upgraded to murder.

Police said Suda has so far given no motive, other than to say he lost his temper while he and his wife were arguing.

Some men are clearly not fit to stay among women.

Never raised fist against a woman or that would make you a low man.

More and more articles reporting domestic crimes. Is that a trend or just coincidence ?

So sad foe the daughter, and wish her to recover from the horrible scene that is surely haunting her now.
