Don’t know enough about this to comment. Never particularly liked the guy though, and wondered how he could be so popular.

He’s quite charismatic and sharp.
He’s doing the rounds grifting idiots on YouTube these days. He’s better than the failed entertainers who try it.
Admittedly, not a high bar.

I think the BBC and UK TV in general were guilty of promoting him as a Don Juan/big shagger, so that valid complaints against him were laughed off. This is on top of the underlying culture at the BBC etc. of "let the big star do whatever they want" which is obvious from the treatment of Savile etc. Female TV presenters and comedians have multiple horror stories about Brand at the height of his tv fame and would warn each other to avoid him.
Brand is quite eloquent and provided half-decent social commentary for a couple of years, now about 10 years ago, but has since jumped on the conspiracy bandwagon and even taken up some bizarre version of evangelical Christianity. The stronger the rape etc. allegations against him have become, the more conspiratorial he has become.

The BBC should apologize to its staff for not letting them raise concerns about the environment, about Brexit, about Ukraine, about the cost of living, about widespread political corruption in the UK, and about Israel.

Never really liked the guy or his voice, but I really don't trust anything from these three-letter agencies.
