Days earlier, trade publication Variety had reported that studio Warner Bros was "burying" the film, by releasing it in fewer than 50 theaters -- an unusually limited number for the major Hollywood studio.

50 across the whole US? That's it? Talk about a lack of support.

Sadly, I think his health has been in steady decline especially with the death of his long term partner this year. Typically when one person in such a long relationship passes, the other partner passes not long after.

Eastwood's previous film "Cry Macho," also released by Warner Bros, was a box office flop.

The Variety report has led fans to speculate on a rift between Warner Bros and Eastwood.

Critics are fickle. First they say it's the 'best since' and if it flops they play karma chameleon and pan it.

On the other hand, just because the previous film was a bomb doesn't mean this new one will be.

Is there a feud with WB?

Sadly, I think his health has been in steady decline especially with the death of his long term partner this year. Typically when one person in such a long relationship passes, the other partner passes not long after.

My grandmother died of cancer, my grandfather went 1.5 years afterward. They were married for 60 years, he was a yang w/o a yin.

June Carter Cash passed away in 2003, Johnny did during the fall of the same year.

Barbara Bush died in 2018, making George a widower after 70 years of marriage. He died that November. \

And do you remember this movie 'I Know Where the Red Fern Grows'? I saw it as a kid.
