I wish I felt sorry but, if a society cannot reproduce itself, maybe there is something badly wrong with that society. And this applies everywhere.

Fewer humans on the planet is a good thing.

The demographic collapse is happening everywhere, with the exception of sub-saharan Africa and radical islamist societies. Are you saying that those are the only societies where there is nothing wrong?

Fewer humans on the planet is a good thing.

Possibly, as an end goal. The problem is getting there and then stabilizing it. A society with a reversed population tree, where a shrinking base of young people has to support an ever growing head of old people, which is where almost all Western countries are heading, is guaranteed to be in very big trouble.

Raising a child in China is very expensive, let alone 3 children.

I have Chinese neighbors in USA and they have only one child and won't have another.

A lot has to change in China, Japan and Korea for couples to have children in the first place, let alone more than one.

If the CCP were my government...I think I'd pass on having children, too. I hope they don't try the Russian method, just going into neighboring countries and stealing children.

Relocating ethnic Russians from a war zone to Russia is not "stealing children". Should they be handed to the Zelenski regime?

If you don't feel like the future will be better than today, bringing a new life into the world is a tough sell.

The CCP has many decades of forcibly killing the pre-born that parents desired. Now they want more? Whiplash is the term that comes to mind.

When the advertising efforts don't work, will the local govt officials mandate 3 children per couple? They've already started making phone calls to women of child-baring age suggesting they need to be pregnant.
