The US economy will lose the 'first option' of bagging these gifted students and their talents when they graduate. An awful lot of talent is up for grabs right now as the US follows the UK in limiting foreign student intakes. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to expand, enhance and rise up the league tables.

Every university needs to find student mix in the US and ANY Other Country, between citizens and non-citizens.

Citizens support their domestic universities indirectly, via Govt $support of universities, reasonable Universities do not exclude too many from their own country.

Common sense, otherwise, you're simply educating many who will be future 'competitors' as most do not remain "in country" past their graduation date.
