The liability is Donald Trump. US unis will dumb down to cater for less intelligent locals and slide down the rankings. The US economy will lose the 'first option' of bagging these gifted students and their talents when they graduate. An awful lot of talent is up for grabs right now as the US follows the UK in limiting foreign student intakes. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to expand, enhance and rise up the league tables.

The Demented Dimwit and Putin's Puppet destroying all the things the US excels at....higher education, agriculture, the dominance of the dollar, leadership in the world...

Every university needs to find student mix in the US and ANY Other Country, between citizens and non-citizens.

Citizens support their domestic universities indirectly, via Govt $support of universities, reasonable Universities do not exclude too many from their own country.

Common sense, otherwise, you're simply educating many who will be future 'competitors' as most do not remain "in country" past their graduation date.

No, with the endowment these radical institutions have, they will be ok. If you don't want to taste your money and have your kids indoctrinated by radical liberal ideology, you have plenty for options to go elsewhere free from that crap, many better institutions to study at.

More debunked lib propaganda

Will American exceptionalism survive Trump? Not if he has his way.

Conspiracy nonsense dont be mad that higher educated individuals are more like not to believe in the lies Republicans spout. It's not about indoctrination it's about Trump and his party consistently lying about the state of world, science, religion, hell even basic economics. Keep promoting people to be uneducated like his supporters.

You are in favor of local control right? The local school board isn't going to review every single lesson plan.

You are in favor of local control right?

If you break the law

The local school board isn't going to review every single lesson plan.

I know, and that's why the DOE has to go.

You are going to have to explain these things to me: the public school curriculum has nothing to do with breaking the law and getting rid of the DOE will result in less review over how teachers conduct their classrooms.

Scroll up, I already explained it.

Ivy League schools have morphed into branding, not unlike women’s handbags. A Gucci bag has no more utility than a Costco bag, but try telling your wife that.

People in the soft curriculums, business, law, sociology, etc., learn nothing more than at state universities, but it’s all about connections.

An underbelly of connections thinking they run the world because of alumni and branding.

A degree from Harvard is just a Gucci degree.

The article is about private universities, not public schools.

"Kids indoctrinated by radical liberal ideology "

Can they just "Say no to liberal ideology "

I am interested in how some get "indoctrinated " and others dont.

I guess its the really smart ones that dont.
