If they're referred to as a "celebrity", I am tired of hearing about them by definition.
The history books will trace the real beginning of the decline of western civilisation to that period when we decided that anyone who becomes known at a certain level for a certain time is automatically a "celebrity" and thus can be used to Sell Things. Then once they've done that they can take part in mindless television programs where they dance and bake things.
The fact that we have lifted these people to some kind of apotheosis really tells us quite a lot about our modern culture.
My wife watches daytime Japanese TV, so I'd say the same roughly 15 "talents" who appear on all of the shows all of the time for hours and hours on end.

We dumped our TV 20 years ago. Since then we have been free of the barrage of this or that do-less "talento" (celebrity).

People saying Kamala or Trump or Ishiba..it is the 'celebrities ' you rarely see that are the problem.
The ones you see all the time are like the managers at McDonald's you complain to.
You are never going to have a chance to interact with the owners.

The wife has "Ohtani Shohei Senshu" running on both the TV and tablet all day and night, sleeping fitfully without turning anything off.
