More than 275,000 Chinese students are enrolled in hundreds of U.S. colleges, providing a major source of revenue for the schools and a crucial pipeline of talent for U.S. technology companies.

It's not only revenue and source of talent for US companies, also labor for research. Many researches at the end being done by underpaid students.

.

Many underpaid job from farming to research assistant being done by foreigners, don't forget about that.

The Idiot "killing the goose that laid the golden egg" - just like he always does...

The guy that killed his own "university" through fraud now trying to destroy the US's world leading academic institutions and reputation...

Don’t care, Americans can fill the vacancies. and other countries can have the activist protesters who don’t align with our American values.

Japan aims to ramp up its number of foreign students to 400,000 over the next decade, from around 337,000 currently.

Only 63.000 “over the next DECADE”? lol so the classes will be in Japanese?

What "American values" were the 260 Japanese students at Harvard actively protesting against?

So what’s the problem? Nothing to do entirely with American values per say. I got a solution, pick out a different university with less baggage and will have the same prestige without all of the toxic politics

And the more than 100 students and scholars from Israel.

They chose Harvard and still choose Harvard — even with the “baggage” and “toxic politics” you claim.

In fact, they probably know more about any “baggage” or “toxic politics” than you — having experienced it firsthand.

And they still choose Harvard.

we don’t know, as Harvard won’t turn over student disciplinary records or videos, right?

I see. You "DON'T KNOW", but you're FOR slandering, condemning, and punishing them anyway...

That's called "scapegoating"....and is far more UN-AMERICAN and counter to our values and Constitution than what you're falsely accusing them of...

MAGA-world....where they cut funding to Harvard based on a (false) accusation of "anti-Semitism"....then hire as a DOD press spokesperson someone who posted clear anti-semitic conspiracy theories...

"Kingsley Wilson, a Department of Defense official who has repeatedly echoed anti-semitic rhetoric online, will serve as the Pentagon’s new press secretary, according to a recent announcement.

“Kingsley’s leadership has been integral to the DoD’s success & we look forward to her continued service to President Trump!” said Sean Parnell, the chief Pentagon spokesman and a senior advisor to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, in a post on X Friday.

Wilson was appointed in January as deputy press secretary at the Pentagon and faced backlash from the Anti-Defamation League as well as several senators for a history of promoting anti-semitic conspiracy theories. Last year, Wilson tweeted a neo-Nazi talking point about Jewish lynching victim Leo Frank".

More MEGA-MAGA-hypocrisy....

Harvard won’t turn over student disciplinary records or videos, right?

No, Harvard provided the requested information, at least according to the conservative-leaning Wall Street Journal. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has not provided any evidence that they didn’t.

You "DON'T KNOW", but you're FOR slandering, condemning, and punishing them anyway...

isnt it discriminatory that you want exemption for only “Japanese students” based on race?

(knowing that they aren’t the ones we are talking about but disingenuously posting about them anyway as a straw man?)

when Harvard turns over the records and videos as asked, we will know all. Why won’t they release those?

Blacklabel

Don’t care, Americans can fill the vacancies. and other countries can have the activist protesters who don’t align with our American values.

How would the US increase its domestic universities by 1 million?

How many of the 1 million foreign students participated in the protests?

What are the American values that all Americans and foreigners are supposed to follow?

Did the 2 million Americans in prisons follow those values?

What are six important American values? Six important American values are unity, individualism, equality, self-government, liberty, and diversity.

This year, there will be fewer foreign students and fewer tourists.

Hmmm not what Harvard says:

“Harvard won’t comply with demands from Trump administration”

The records were turned over. In its latest letter Wednesday), DHS complained about Harvard’s national-security concerns with its ties to foreign entities. It’s a never-ending loop of demands (i.e., continually moving the goalposts).

@Blacklabel

who don’t align with our American values.

Share us here, what is the true actual American values? Pro-LBGTQ, pro-BLM, pro-AntiVax, etc or any trend that being set by any administration that being held office which subject to change from time to time.

Hmmm not what Harvard says:

“Harvard won’t comply with demands from Trump administration”

Those were the administration’s earlier demands to give the federal government the ability to examine in detail all of Harvard’s admissions records and the ability to weigh in on who Harvard hires.

As I wrote above, it’s a never-ending loop of demands. Next week, there’ll be more — until the university agrees to something like a $30 million investment in a $Trump memecoin.

What happened to the home of the brave and the land of the free?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Important for all students outside the US to recognize that it's ONLY Harvard that is out of compliance with the US State Dept, regarding vetting of students on visas.

All Other US Universities = NO Legal BEEF w/Trump Admin

All Other US Universities = NO Legal BEEF w/Trump Admin

Trump has suspended all applications for student visas, not just Harvard.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Well darn, they didn’t have a judge lined up to block that too?

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

Students on a student visa are protected by free speech too. There is no “they’re just guests and they can’t say anything bad about the US”. That’s not what a free society does.

But again, right-wingers and MAGA don’t care, because they aren’t actually principled and they don’t hold any real values except “rich, straight, white people should be able to do anything they want, while anyone else should be punished”. And that’s all evident by the administration, and the things they are doing. Nothing to help the American people overall. Everything to help criminals, the rich, and white people.

This is the maga version of affirmative action.

A textbook example of cutting off one's nose to spite one's face. There seems to be no end to this clown's idiocy. I shudder to think what the US will look like by the end of his presidency.

Sir, please sit this one out, this is about education and knowledge, foreign concepts to MAGA!!!!

Yes sir, education is not a MAGA value!!!

Sir, trump University was shut down, it had no education and no baggage!!!
