For how long Japan can sustain those factories? With inflation and wage increase, it much more make sense just to move production to China or Vietnam.

I worked on a (largely successful) project with Kyowa many years ago. The one thing I remember is that they had a reputation for long hours and overtime even for a Japanese company. A shame, as our counterparts there were decent people who were pleasant to work with.

That's a very bad idea, looking back at the damages globalization has done to local economies creating ghost towns every where.

The Japanese just invite the Chinese and Vietnamese to Japan and then pay them 180,000 per month before taxes and other deductions.

as bad as that may seem, at least J companies can still function and the taxes generated by these workers stay in Japan. you shift production overseas, the government makes nothing

Domestic auto parts business dying for several reasons, EVs have far fewer parts, tariffs, auto market shrinking along with aging, depopulation, rise of deliveries and let's not forget autonomy, meaning far fewer will even own!
