Two wrongs don't make a right; however, Hamas instigated this attack on innocent civilians killing people of all ages that included small children that is evil. Israel has a right to stand up for its citizens but are they killing hundreds of innocent people in the process but not having a solution myself say a prayer for both sides who did not ask for this.
For the Muslim people in Japan, sometimes it is best to keep silent and work behind the scenes within your own government because you are going to alienate yourself from the local public and scare them. I work with Muslim people; I love every single person I work with and would never want to change my job, but I see the look they get on the street when I with them (I don't care) wearing hijabs and their native clothing. When I first arrived many years ago, I was not accepted either and it takes time and silence is golden. Pick your battles wisely.

Israel has been killing Palestinian children in far greater number for many years.

This is literally the definition of a false statement. It looks like they are having a peaceful demonstration to support the lives of the innocent Palestinian citizens, who are also victims in this terrible, never-ending saga.
Israeli citizens were also victims of horrific violence by Hamas.
Both things can be true at the same time.

As we live in a world where democracy (in theory) is valued over any other form of government then the Muslim voice has to be the one that is valued.
The right to protest and voice opinion should be a given right and it is splendid to see a peaceful protest in Tokyo outside the Israeli embassy.
Israel has to be made aware that the world is concerned with their actions and the consequences thereof

Just as long as we do not confuse the flag of Palestine and that of Hamas.

You don't have to stay in Japan to protest for your country. Japan is a peaceful country with a lovely livelihood. Don't spoil that.

No demonstration anywhere has denounced the Jihadi Hamas barbarism, they are all supporting and celebrating.. and that's the problem...

Keep it up! Japan will revoke their visas, thankfully.

The majority of Muslims in Japan are not Arabs. Many are Japanese.
Elvis is here
How does one know such personal information?
wallace
The Muslim community is more than 100,000 people. Many Japanese converted or married in. The population is mostly from Malaysia and Indonesia and not Arab countries. Cities like Kobe have a large Muslim population and the first Mosque was built in Japan in 1939. It survived the firebombing. Around the Mosque area are Halal restaurants and shops. Some of my neighbors were also Muslims and we would exchange conversation. There are many online sites for the Muslim community if anyone wants to know about them.

Cut and paste?

No, but you can try and prove it. 100% based on my Kobe experience of 16 years. Lovely city with Muslims, Jews, Jains, Indian Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians in large numbers and living side-by-side.

The Palestine government is run/controlled by Hamas.

The flag in the article is the Palestinian one.

I'm looking at the picture and see non-Arab Muslims holding Palestinian flags. How are they to blame?
Elvis is here
How do you know they are non Arab Muslims?
kintsugi
Elvis is here
Because the Muslims in Japan are not from Arab countries. Do you know there are 50 Muslim-majority countries? Around 62% of the world's Muslims live in the Asia-Pacific region.
Elvis is here
No I don't. Thank you for telling me.
How do you know?
kintsugi
How do you know?
Because when you have Muslim friends and use their restaurants and shops you learn about their community and where they come from.

Wallace is correct that many Muslims here are Asian, and both the men and women are very quiet and peaceful unlike what is portrayed in this photo.

Thank you for your answer. I gave you a +1 BTW.
But I'm not convinced that "the Muslims in Japan are not from Arab countries" as you state.
I was hoping for something more verifiable, rather than my mate's brother says. I would be very surprised if there were no Arab state Muslims in Japan, considering how tolerant Japanese people are at times.

I agree.

There are about six thousand Arabs living in Japan.

I hope the demonstrators had raised a message saying "Stop the Occupation", not just the Palestinian flag. Thanks to the shocking attack of Hamas and the Israeli's fierce response, this incident has provoked, or is used to provoke, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim or anti-West sentiments to make the core issues in the Palestine/Israel relation invisible. The world leaders should come out from a state of shock to urgently seek cessation of hostilities and to find a way leading to the two state solution.

Guess Isreal has forgotten how they were classed as terrorists when they were fighting for an independent state. The republicans in the republic of Ireland were also called terrorists as they also fought for an independent homeland. I wonder, why do some people in Gaza actually resort to such violence? Is it because their calls for a home are ignored? At the whim of who ever is in power in the USA or Isreal? I can’t help but think the post WW1 Sykes -Picot treaty really screwed the Arabs over. Something we are guilty of not learning about.

Palestine was the same until Jews from all over the world came there and occupied it.
I know the media doesn't tell you much. But again, with the information that is published, some people are really doing injustice. Have a little fairness. Israel has killed 150,000 people in Palestine over the past few years. A large number of them were ordinary people and women and children.
Israel has shut off water, electricity and food to the people. Do Japanese or any country you are in, hospitals use a special system for electricity that I don't know about? that you don't realize the depth of the disaster?
People die while they are hungry.
Do you know anything about phosphorus bombs? Israel uses these bombs against ordinary people. can you believe
Children who are killed every day by aerial bombardment. I wish your media would talk about the lies that have been told. The story of the concert is narrated without any film. Even worse, the story of the 40 babies, for which the various journalists who covered the story are apologizing to the public because there is no evidence for it.
The Israeli army provided an image to prove it, it turned out that it used artificial intelligence to make it.
Now, if you do a search, you will see that the proof of the killing of Palestinian babies and children does not need anything, just look at the pictures! news! and... . Just look!
A Reuters reporter was also killed in Israel, but even Reuters did not mention that he was killed by Israel! Why? Because all the media are ordered to cover the news unilaterally.
At least nine journalists were killed in Palestine. Israel is killing everyone in Gaza.

Israel is so bad that no media can cover his bad face.

Some people are blaming Israel for the bombing of civilians. Unlike Hamas, Israel is attempting to hit military targets. Hamas is the group that is hiding behind civilians, just hoping that Arabs around the world will unite against Israel.
Those people around the world currently protesting against Israel were pretty much silent when it came to what Hamas did. Where were the protests?
It was interesting though that Israel's old enemy Egypt had warned Israel of an impending attack. Just goes to show that some Arabs are not in support of Hamas.

Israel has never, ever targeted children for death, terrorist Hamas does. There is no moral equivalent.

Israel only gave them a week before they launched war crimes of their own.

Supporting the Arabs does not mean support for Hamas.

Palestine was the same until Jews from all over the world came there and occupied it...
Jews have a history of 3500 yrs in that land, Palestine has no such history, and Jews did not occupy it in 1947, Egypt and Jordan did, look up the real history, It's only after the 1967 war which Egypt, Jordan and few others lost is that the Jews moved in. Also do lookup Jordan's history with Palestine.. Israel is just defending itself and will keep on defending...
