Video, damaged ships, and injured coast guardspeople all confirm China's aggression in international waters.

Japan, Philippines to deepen defense ties due to their mutual role as US vassals.

Fixed it.

Lets start a new war I say, how about that??

Nothing happens in a vacuum.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

That's the whole point. Keeping spending on defence. It's better to be poor but safe

Lets start a new war I say, how about that??

These nations are trying to prevent a war.

The only country keen on the idea is....

"Xi Jinping calls to prepare for war as China launches live-fire exercise in Taiwan Strait"

Nothing to see here. 不客氣.

-16 ( +2 / -18 )

Great to see even more cooperation by these two free nations in the face of continued Chinese aggression. In a contingency, working together, and having well-dispersed forces and supply lines with redundancy, will be key to defeating the Chinese invaders.

How much better the region would be were it not for the malign CCP.

Rather in shock to get so many 'net' up votes above!

Common sense, good neighbors keep neighborhoods SAFE, hopefully many more countries sign up soon. as nothing's more important than keep the PEACE!

China and America are in a strategic "fight/battle/struggle/etc". Don't take side, any side, there will be no aggression. You take America's side, the Chinese will not be happy. But, that is not the whole story. If, and there are, countries which side with the Chinese, well, America is aggressive to them. So, its par for the course.

All to do with the continuous sale of weapons by the RS of the USA whose economy depends on it.

Absolutely! Completely unfounded and unverified images fabricated by the US administration to justify the anti-China hysteria, to secure more arms sales made in USA to the continent. The greed of warlords in Wall Street has no boundaries

Just to stay in the area, the official reason why the Vietnam War started:

As we all know the US State department disinformation has a track record of promoting manipulative narratives. I advice to give priority to good history print books rather than US military dispatches

FosToday 03:16 pm JST

Absolutely!

Truly ridiculous that people pathetically try to pin the blame for Xi's aggression on the US... though sadly not surprising around here.

Just another day on JT... where some value social credit points above reality.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

The only difference is that we quote history books (see the Tonkin Accident), not the US military imaginary dispatches, or Hollywood style videoclips paraded for the US industrial military complex, already looting many countries to nourish their greed for profits.

Look at historical facts China vs USA. Asia does not need the warmongering that Washington has generated in Eastern Europe and Middle East. Also that is fact!

No matter how much gas is poured into the lighters, this remains a story not about the US.

Fact is china was very friendly and helpful to the Philippines when the Philippines kicked out the US bases. If they wanted to attack the Philippines that would have been the best opportunity

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

China actually has a long track record of dispute resolutions favorable to the other sides.

They were, however, building their fake islands the whole time. China needs to learn to abide by international law regardless of who is president of the Philippines.

Japan should be careful not to be sold by the United States, and Asia should be peaceful rather than confrontational.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Asia should be peaceful rather than confrontational.

This is what we have been saying all this time, citing history books and NOT the US military dispatches quoted by the usual suspects.

Apart from strengthening ties with the United States (essentially buying billions of dollars of weapons), Japan should also strive independently to have a direct dialogue with China and build mutual trust.

A reminder that under the current defense strategy, Japan aims to eventually double its annual military spending to around 10 trillion yen ($63 billion), making it the world’s No. 3 military spender after the United States and China.

Haha you're forgetting the US again

Have you forgotten also that if the US have not been inciting conflicts in Asia and the rest of the world actually the world would be a much more peaceful place?

Haha you're forgetting the US again

Article has nothing to do with the US.

Have you forgotten also that if the US have not been inciting conflicts in Asia and the rest of the world actually the world would be a much more peaceful place?

Zero US Wars of Aggression at the moment. In fact there hasn't been a US War of Aggression in living memory.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Again, in 2025 he usual suspect trying to come clean forwarding US military dispatches, without any knowledge of history books

In the course of the 20th century alone, Washington has participated in 39 armed conflicts, or one every three years, and since 2000 it has engaged in at least 12 wars, the equivalent of one every two years.

Of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, who represent the great powers, only China has not fought a war in 40 years. In contrast to China, in the last three decades, America has fought a war or been involved in military actions every year.

The only military risk that we face from China is if we continue as a proxy for the US in its endless wars

Article still isn't about the US and Japan claims that it would like to retain the Senkakus and navigation around Taiwan.

Having abandoned Ukraine, one can easily imagine that the felon in the White House will also abandon Taiwan.

China is planing on takeovers and engaged in some in SCS. Russia currently engaged in one in Europe and Trump also planing his own takeovers.

Despots are all despicable no matter what flag they fly. Admittedly it is a bit hard to swallow when they they turn countries that used to be friends into enemies.

Just dawned on me what @Fos stands for. Full of ....

Someone never tires of quoting Chinese and Russian military dispatches. Sadly they are always "full of ...."!

2 ( +5 / -3 )

except the US minions, the world see the reverse that Pinoy is provoking, not China.

I would like to hear more of this fantasy.

One only has to look at a map to see the nonsense of this statement.

FosToday 03:13 am JST

I would like to hear more of this fantasy.

Hollywood fantasy in Australia with a vengeance :) Last wee the US department of (dis)information already tried and fail to build up a case with China, failing to produce relevant evidence. Soon we will see drone images and action movies with Filipinos vessels. And the usual suspects reporting imaginary fairytales in the South China Sea

Damaged ships and injured coast guardspeople are not CG.

That's right..

Just puppets who play the dirty geopolitical game of good old US and its fear of China taking inevitable the top of the world..

Japan and the Philippines are friends

Anybody else wanna be part of it? Be friendly to Japan and the Philippines

They should. Especially since the US under trump (who loves dictators) won't be as reliable now.
