The one on ones will be more effective: child Trump won't respond well to being humiliated in a group.

Eventually a G6 should be on the table without the US. Or maybe bring in Ukraine as the seventh member.

Other countries deciding faith of millions people while have remote meeting virtually, thousands miles from the actual battle ground, that's really how current world really works.

How much do you want to bet Ukrainians prefer the G6 solution to the Trump/Putin solution?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Just like how the Munich Pact and the end of WW1 were settled. The fates of thousands or millions determined by remote men in suits who never see the action.

And we all know that trumPutin are unreliable, can't be counted on for anything.

This is a silly idea.

Only because you don't know what real alliances are about.

Is this still relevant?? Waste of time and resources. To talk/discuss about the Ukraine War?? With America involve? The relevance ended when the aids become/turn into a loan. Any country that has/hope your back is cover by America, please get rid of the naivety/wise up. So Japan, please.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

It used to be relevant when the G7 countries used the forum to coordinate economic and financial policies. That is certainly not what they do now.

1 silly idea and 1 silly assumption

keep digging your hole

Should be interesting talks with Germany's reported stance

G-7, another useless debate society. All of these countries, other than US, have massively underinvested in their military capabilities since WWII ended.

G=7 Ukraine 'view' is toothless, as DJT elected to bring an end to this proxy war firmly on a pathway to WWIII.

G=7 never even met Putin or communicated with Russia since war escalated 3 years ago, so it's too little too late for the G-7 = lousy track record of never pursuing PEACE

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Take the US out of the G7, and you're left with 6 insignificant midgets.

That's why the real competitor to your China is the OECD, with comparable population and greater gdp.

The fact that it didn't pursue surrender is precisely why the G6 has the only morally correct track record.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Pursuing Peace is not surrender, rather in Ukraine's case it's a question of survival, as they're now a failed state.

It's not moral to pursue an unwinnable war, G-7 prior to Jan 20th, simply viewed Ukraine as an expendable proxy army to conduct THEIR war - that's immoral.

Trump is not interested in WIII and pursuing the genocide of Ukraine in order to capture 'profits' of War.

Time to kick Trump and the US out and time for Europe to step up, pay more and become a superpower as it seems this is its only choice to protect themselves from Russia. All empires end.........thanks Don.

Mr. Trump will shut this war down soon regardless, so there is NO POINT IN meeting and or discussing.

Watch this meeting between the American Economist Mr. Jeffrey Sachs and members of the EU Parliament discussing Ukraine and the middles east.

US Russian in a matter of days will be dictating peace on term they will insist on, the G7 holds a virtual meeting to discuss Ukraine?

What a farce,

NATO expansion towards Russia is what caused this war, it takes only 6 minutes for a missile fired from Kiev to reach Moscow.

NATO expansion anywhere near Russia stopped in 2004. Why did it take 20 years for Putin to become bothered by it?

Or is it just a coping method by Putin's lickspittles to deal with supporting his dirty little land grab?

Trudeau gonna show up and embarrass Canada one more time? Thank God at least a few adults will be in the room.

Pursuing "peace" without any regard for Ukraine's sovereignty is surrender. Ukraine is not a failed state yet: in fact they are still putting terrorists in the ground.

It's not moral to pursue an unwinnable war, G-7 prior to Jan 20th, simply viewed Ukraine as an expendable proxy army to conduct THEIR war - that's immoral.

It is immoral to try to wipe Ukraine off of the map or to say Ukraine should just go along with it.

Trump is not interested in WIII and pursuing the genocide of Ukraine in order to capture 'profits' of War.

It is precisely by throwing the russian back that a genocide is averted.

Utter nonsense: prior to Putin's war of aggression, only Javelins and training had been supplied to Kyiv. Even poor at war russia is not threatened by these.

There can be quite a long period of bag holding by Mr. Trump at a minimum. Europe can also prepare for a post-US world when Trump's failure is complete.

Nope, they wouldn't be the ones grasping their hands saying "why haven't you surrendered yet" for the longest time.

Trump is claiming Putin has agreed to EU peacekeepers. Why do I get the feeling this is another complete whopper from the president?

Funny how that would have been put down in five minutes without the illegal War of Aggression of Putin started at the same time.
