Imagine these three great countries, neighbors for thousands of years working together without outside interlopers. The future would be bright.

As ever, talking is fine but never fall for the CCP lies.

China is attempting a charm offensive now that it's facing a trade war, its economy is slowing and suffering from huge structural problems, and its reputation is down the drain due to its aggression and support for Putin's war of conquest.

But it will be the same old story down the line: broken promises, and more aggression.

In the talks with Wang, Iwaya will aim to make progress on resuming Japan's seafood exports to China, the sources said. Beijing imposed the ban after the release of treated radioactive wastewater from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant began in August 2023.

And here's just one example, among countless, of why the CCP cannot be trusted: a ban that unquestionably contravenes WTO rules in place for a year-and-a-half.

Imagine these three countries working together without the CCP. The future would then be bright.

With the CCP - zero chance.

Yes, it would be bright for China because they could just stomp all over everyone.

This is what we have been saying for some time: here comes a time of peace and prosperity in Asia, based of the mutual recognition that there is no space for the warmongering attitude of United States of America, already blatantly displayed in Eastern Europe and Middle East. The interests of the warlords in Wall Street should not find a way of dialogue in Japan, and hopefully Tokyo, Beijing and Seul start prospering without the tensions incited by Washington and the usual suspects.

The future would be bright.

Not for the hard core investors in Wall Street, those American warlords who are eager to incite tensions in another continent after the disaster and humanitarian crisis they created all over the world, for the sake of greed and guns made in USA

Three historically great countries joining together to benefit the people without the interference of outside elements is amazing. Peripheral countries like the Philippines for example, can also benefit with the new alignment.

Decent point. The Three historic countries of East Asia should all be able to sit at the same table and discuss shared issues as adults, not having to get permission slips from an indecent gatecrasher who is not even from Asia. One can dream but one day hopefully the umbilical cord will be snipped and all seats at the table can be occupied by fully mature, sovereign adults.

Both Japan and South Korea will talk with China. But they know China very well.

Maybe not perfect, but South Korea and Japan are democracies. In contrast China under the CCP is a one party dictatorship that cares only for itself. Their interest in Asia and the region is solely for domination.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

All the government of China is bringing to the table is division, duplicitous deceitful, dishonesty

A continuous means of coercive connivance, with likewise despot dictatorship cohorts.,

Avoid...

It is all another means to bring about regional instability, a toxic mean to vulnerability to separate democratic governments.

As Isabelle mentioned,

Expect to see more foot dragging by China.

An example:

The two countries reached an agreement in 2019 to lift a ban imposed in 2001 on Japanese beef but exports have yet to restart.

A totally unreliable trading partner!!

The point we are trying to make here, and any rational people would accept it, that any relationship comes with some uncertainties. What we do know that at least the conditions China is requesting are not subjected to arms dealing and massive warmongering threats associated with the United States of America. That is why, a constant dealing with China and South Korea together with Japan will keep the Asian continent safe. The demonstrations of the warlords from Washington we had in Eastern Europe and Middle East in the last few years should be a clear example of the risks associated with their arrogance and aggressiveness of the US administration and their nature of business.

中日韓友誼萬歲! 3 great countries united by a shared history and culture. Push aside the outside agitator and make East Asia Great Again.

I guess that rules russia out.

Let’s not forget that Russia is the real winner today, since it was brought up.

As well as the Wall Street warlords of course. But we are talking about different morals. Same old stories

This year also marks the 80th anniversary of Japan's defeat in WW2 and the end to its aggression across Asia as well as the end to Japanese colonialism in Korea and the return of Taiwan to China.

With Cho, Iwaya will share views on addressing North Korea's nuclear and missile programs and enhancing cooperation between the two countries, as this year commemorates the 60th anniversary of the normalization of their diplomatic ties.

Yes russia has much worse morals than "Wall Street warlords".

These are 3 major players in the region and have been for a couple of thousand years. Countries with close cultural and historical ties, some of it pretty colourful at times, but long, established and intertwined. It is absolutely within this region's best interest that they are having open dialogue to continue to maintain strong and respectful bonds, and continue to build relations between the people.

I have a lot to do with the people of these 3 nations, and they are great people who I have an immense respect for. They are intelligent, deeply cultural, respectful, kind, modest, well mannered, calm humans. They are largely a delight to be around.

I have little time for Americans trying to present China as the great world ogre, which of course is laughably hypocritical, given the bombastic nature of their own countries efforts to manipulate, divide and profit from conflict and hegemony world wide.

Let's see Japan, South Korea and China create a much more stable and independent Asia.

Totally agreeing on a more close relationship with neighbors countries like China and SKorea, as opposed to the danger of the present (and past) US administration. The last thing Asia needs is arms deals, unethical interference and the warmongering attitude of Washington

Sadly, four years later in 1949 marked the start of the PRC.

Its aggression across Asia still continues today.

Let’s put into contest the definition of ‘aggression’

The U.S. controls about 800 military bases in more than 90 countries worldwide, as opposed to 3 or 4 of China globally. And yet the US military-industrial complex narrative wants us to believe it’s China and Russia that seek world domination and are the biggest threat to world peace, not the United States.

Given the US has surrounded China with dozens of hostile military bases, including in Guam, Diego Garcia, ROK and all over Japan, no-one should be surprised that Beijing has responded to a growing sovereign threat. The US would have hysterics if Chinese vessels patrolled off the Californian coast and the Florida Keys. Or if China had B-52 type aircraft based in Mexico.

As a fact the US is trying to advance its "Indo-Pacific" strategy to contain China, fanning the flames in the Korean Peninsula, Taiwan Straits and South China Sea.

The only military risk that we face from China is if we continue as a proxy for the US in its endless wars

Together stronger..

US, keep your dirty hands out of this..
