Suddenly Fukushima delicacies become favorite among Japanese politicians and officials.

And some posters here. It’s interesting that some will label people “science deniers” on some topics, but are science deniers about this. They want to pick their science.
PTownsend
Given all the overfishing China's corporate seafood harvesters take, Chinese consumers shouldn't suffer, so the CCP mavens must just want another chance to bash Japan.
Re 'science deniers' that label could be used to describe those on either side of the issue.

Stop selling seafood to Ruzzia, Let the people there do without they don't deserve it.
EdoBoogieWoogie
Good luck. I dont think China will listen to WTO.

Something about ministers and other politicians begging/shilling products makes me avoid them. Not just seafood in this case but in general.

Japan hopes to convince Who about Japan's release of radio active water into the Pacific?

Selling seafood to Malaysia won’t influence China at all…

Collective punishment is for cretins.
I buy Russian salmon because its clearly the best available. Even the Chilean salmon is not nearly as red, suggesting they too are farmed.
The Russian fishermen are working hard and doing a dangerous job so as to deliver healthful, high quality fish to the market. Nobody asks them their political opinions and they have no power. I am happy to pay them for their hard and honest work. Doubly so when people come on line to try and blame innocent citizens like themselves for things totally outside their control.

And in reverse the world has had such great success at the WTO against Japan. It’s just wasting time money and time.

The truth vs celebrity endorsements.
Should we be made to choose here ?
WiseOneIn Kansai
Of course, they won't.
But their credibility isn't going to get better. And when they make their own complaints in the future to the WTO, how do you think China will be treated?
John-San
It took Australia 3 years to bring China to the WTO table and when they got to the door decide not to contest the banning of barley and allow pre ban trade to resume. China don't want to front the WTO in case Japan wins the case. This would be a total embarrassment for Poo and will put another nail in CCP coffin when the economy is at it lowest since the turn of the century. When China is showing sign of political unrest.
ClanPsi
"Drinking" water in China is orders of magnitude more toxic and radioactive than Fukushima discharge.
nosuke
Keep the bann and don’t resolve it they don’t deserve to our fish

They still don’t eat it in front of the camera, but at least they show the food like they will. There is communication progress. lol

China has a long list to complain against Japan in WTO as well. So bring it on Mr Miyashita.
Hiro S Nobumasa
Wait! Stop ! Never mind the WTO!
The US Ambassador Rahm Emanuel says Fuku Rad Seafoods are safe and delicious!
Why not sold it at a much higher prices to the USA and just forget China!
Pacificpilot
Why is Japan begging for seafood buyers when the price of scallops from Japan are at record highs in locations like Hawaii and the US West Coast
elephant200
@Nobumasa: Why not sold it at higher prices to the USA and forget China!
Oh you should, don't forget India they are very willing to pay much higher prices than China. Good try & good luck!

"The tritium concentration in the second batch of diluted ALPS treated water, which Japan’s Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) started discharging today, is far below the country’s operational limit, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts present at the site confirmed."

While China discharges far more from their nuclear sites than Japan, their fisheries industry is immune to a similar attack because despite being the biggest fishing nation on the planet they consume all of what they catch in boh Chinese, international and other nation's waters. Fish products that are "exported" from China are fish caught in other countries that are processed/packaged in China and re-exported. Eel, which farmed, is an exception as they are raised in China.
It is obvious to the entire world that China's actions are a political driven response to Japan siding with the US on banning semicondictor chip technlogy exports to China.

The entire World has a longer list to complain against China in WTO, WHO, PCA, ICC and jut about every international forum that exists.
