So that 5 points increase because he met with US president? From groceries price aspect, there's no improvement, prices still high.
Agent_Neo
There is nothing that could be improved. As expected from a random survey by NHK.

Better than his predecessor, and he is proving to be more adept at maneuvering through dealing with a fractured coalition government.

He just flew to America. That's all he did. Did not actually do anything.
Got on a plane and gets five points.
OK...

So basically he didn't fall flat on his face and cause an international incident with Trump and for this his approval rises 5%! People are so fickle and shallow.
I said to some of my students, if Ishiba was smart he wouldn't have visited the US at all as it had seemed Trump had kind of forgotten about Japan, but by going he reminded him of the bases and military spending!
Fighto!
I predicted Ishibas' popularity would jump after his negotiations with Trump. Getting Trump to allow part ownership of US Steel by Japan is a pretty solid achievement by Ishiba.

Someone in the LPD should help him when choosing glasses.

What’s your next prediction?

He always looks so smug. Turn off from the get go.
Fighto!
Possibly an exception to tariffs can be negotiated for the Japanese steel export industry to America? Or at least a lowering of the 25% tariff. Time will tell.

" Better than his predecessor, and he is proving to be more adept at maneuvering through dealing with a fractured coalition government. "
Just so long as he can get time for a smoke.

As far as the LDP goes, Ishiba is probably the most honest of the bunch!

If is from NHK, we already know what and what.
