When in severe debt - borrow more!
Good plan.

how about to let us know how much is gov debt per capita?
to be clear and accurate?

I wonder what resources the cops are asking for that they don’t already have. Their budget has climbed continually over the last several years despite a very low crime rate and declining population.

Excellent! Bring more inflation to the already galopant inflation as it is.
Brilliant plans by this Government! /s
Seriously, this will weaken the Yen even more by also accelerating the inflation rate...

per capita is approximately 93,000 dollars.(each)
but more importantly, what’s the return on these bonds? 0.3?

With "REAL" Inflation (not 'official' Govt. numbers) running so hot in Japan, anyone buying a JGB needs their head examined because you're "locking" in in a guaranteed negative real return.
Countries with high debt and shrinking populations ALWAYS monetize their debt via inflation, and Japan is no different. That's why rates are going up like it or not.

Just imagine actual pressure the Govt. puts on Japanese financial institutions to buy JGBs?! That's no Democracy!

Short term fluctuations.
I’m looking for the right time to once again sell yen for dollars, and virtually any other currency to be honest.
The yen stinks and is going the way of the Turkish lira methinks. Higher interest rates won’t be consolation if the depreciation continues to outpace it, which is my base case.

Japan keeps adding to its money supply.
What could go wrong?
