Ironic holding this in the country that is most active in excessively aggressive naval behavior to support it's internationally unrecognized claim. I expect everyone to realize that every room is likely wired.

All such issues could be solved if China abided by international law. But it won't.

I expect everyone to realize that every room is likely wired.

The rooms certainly will be wired, and everyone certainly will realize. It reminds me of when China built the African Union building and filled it with listening devices:

That's what happens when Japan, the USA and Russia et al all wants to have selfies with Chairman Xi Jinping instead of President English Tsai of Taiwan.

Very ironic but true. They are all now da-kine Made in China!

Not sure why they would meet in UNCLOS offender China. Inb4 the US isn't a member. So find somewhere else.

@TaiwanisChina: The nine dash lines concept should be recognised and uphold for basic requirement for further talks !

@elephant200 Good idea. The PRC and ROC navies should do a joint patrol of Nanhai 南海.

The nine dash lines concept

It's a 10-dash lie now. Your propaganda is out of date.

The Dear Leader will be very disappointed in you, and will mark down your social credit [sic] score.

The two navies can have a BBQ on the largest of the South China Sea's islands, Taiping Island, declared part of China by ROC forces in 1946. If you want to find Taiping Island on a map it's roughly 100 miles west of Palawan Island, PI.

You like to keep bringing that up. Why does 1.4 billion kg China have to hide behind the skirts of Taiwan?

It's a historical fact and quite ironic as the US gave the naval ship to the ROC who dutifully steamed down to the South China Sea and claimed the largest island. Of course that and other islands and atolls were recently abandoned by Japanese forces.

Republic of China forces remain there to this day.

Of no bearing on what the oversized mainland can do today to promote peace.

Talking to the Chinese is like have a turkey talk to a chicken! Gobble Gobble they will not listen! Instead they will do what ostriches do put their heads in the sand!

Good, come to Papa China...

How about they agree to

a) not ram other vessels

b) follow the standard right-of-way rules of the sea

c) not use water canons against other vessels

d) Provide facts with claims of illegal crossings like video, date/time and GPS movements for the surrounding claimed 30 minutes of the violation?

Just a start. Then we'll have less he-said, she-said claims and the public can be shown the details from multiple standpoints.

Facts are the way out of these troubled waters .... and airspace.
