Perhaps a little more than usual, but not to excess. Coupling that with the fact that my consumption has lowered as I age, it probably won't be too much at all.
I tend to actually eat less. Its not unusual to only have two meals in a day when there is not much happening. Also, I don't particularly care for new year food, so I'll be suprised if I don't lose a few pounds over the short break.
My Xmas tradition has been to order a pizza and watch a movie or drama by myself. I’ve stopped doing that casually simply because I’m not 20 anymore and digesting a whole pizza isn’t as simple anymore haha. But I usually meet my girlfriend later in the week for dinner etc which is nice. But that whole pizza, that’s my tradition now
My rule is to eat heavy foods and too much of them, including copious amounts of Christmas cookies, between Thanksgiving and New Year's. After that, I eat well and intermittently fast.
Last year, I stacked on 20 pounds during this period, then lost it within 2 months.
I used to eat and drink a lot during new-year holidays more than regular days. However, I realized that the habit of such lives prevents me from being back to the ordinal days. Therefore, I've recently spent the days of the holidays having a regular lifestyle with little more snacks and juice or alcohol. Even such a small twist makes me happy.
Yes, mainly because I'm surrounded by people who gorge themselves and I'm made to feel anti-sociable if I don't join in. But still, I try to show some restraint. Difficult when you're back home and you're surrounded by wonderful soulfood instead of osechi-ryori.
Wow! Didnt expect those numbers 74% don't eat or drink too much over Xmas! Naruhods!
This is not your average demographic that we know back home! JT ever done a survey on average ages of your audience? Could this be why the Zs getspoon fed their desired narratives? I guess cake and booze are not on the menu! hehe
Just teasing. Merry Xmas everyone. Be silly, write new years resolutions come January and enjoy this crazy land we all come home.

"too much" is subjective and so is getting battered on Caymus and Gaja Barbaresco.

Saying no to all the delicious foods and drinks is considered extremely rude, so yes, It's of course too much and unavoidable.

if talking about out in public:
No, this is a dangerous time when all the amateurs are out and about. So prices go way up and personal space way down. To be avoided now.
stay home and eat and drink less of nicer things than usual with the homies.
