Dang. That guy had serious addiction problems.
Fighto!
Mizuhara is a nasty piece of work. He will get a big prison sentence no doubt - then its deportation back home to Japan. Having a Green Card will not protect him.
Ohtani likely won't see a cent of the $17 Million owed to him.

ahhh, that ain't likely to be realized!! I'm betting that all of those cards are now in the possesion of bookies as payment on Mizuhara's gambling losses!

Cut the cord and move on, guy

You have to wonder how he was not discovered sooner. 17 million dollars before he was discovered??

Ippei seemed like such a nice guy too, but he screwed Ohtani because of the faith and trust Ohtani had for Ippei.
You just never really know about people. I've been on the receiving end too of being screwed over by people I've trusted, and it's quite disturbing. This is especially true if you're doing well or reasonably well, in which case you'll attract the wrong kind of people who through guile will take advantage of you.
