Former Rakuten Eagles GM Marty Kuehnert dies at 78

Kuehnert combined love of sports with business acumen, and can be credited with introducing sports bars to Japan, beginning with The Attic in Kobe. He also had the distinction of selling Japanese-made baseball uniforms to two US major league teams, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles, which was no small feat.

@NCIS, I remember those colorful black-and-gold Descente uniforms that the Pirates used to wear. Had no idea that Marty Kuehnert was the one who made that happen.
