I suppose many tourists are prepared to pay through the nose and drop a few hundred quid in the club shops.
My sister managed to get tickets for Anfield a few times this season at ridiculous cost and said the atmosphere isn’t a patch on the past. I’ve heard similar from supporters of other top clubs.
Keep members of the local tribe out and this is not surprising.
Will eventually make the whole ‘experience’ less attractive to tourists

The whole thing is a money-making machine. There are issues galore, far too many to mention, but I can't say I really care whether those involved say anything sympathetic toward fans, especially matchgoing fans. Such comments just strike me as lip service. "Oh it must be terrible" doesn't stop them rescheduling matches at the last minute so that they end after the last train home for the away fans.
I used to pay 3.50 as a teenager to go to the match, but that was a long time ago. Its now 35 quid for the London Eye, 30 quid for Westminster Abbey, and 130 quid to see some Abba holograms. I was in London recently but didn't go to any of these.
