I have a lot of sympathy and can only wish him well for his treatment, and such a blow for his wife to also be succumbing to MS. In the last month or so I learned my mom has also succumbed to stage 4 cancer, spreading originally from the breast into the bones, spine and elsewhere and it sounds like Sir Chris Hoy will have similar medication as my mum will have.

It's a reminder, make the most of your life. And don't waste a day to tell those you love, that you love them.

There is no treatment for terminal cancer. I'm a prostate cancer survivor and have empathy for all cancer victims. He needs to enjoy his family.

I have had a couple who were like my extended family, known for over 30 years, both died from brain cancer within 2 years of each other.

It was very heart breaking for me, especially their daughter who lost her father first and then her mother.

We kept my friend's husband alive for an additional year and half than what the doctors had specified.

It's very tough and I still have their pictures in my room and think of them all the times.

I also have had prostate cancer treatment some years ago and so far the cancer was eradicated. It was caught a lot early on before it could spread.

Hopefully, within 2 or 4 years, a treatment for his cancer will be found.

Too late for Hoy. His cancer has spread.

I reminder for all, regular, bloods twice a year, CT once a year is my regime, but I still got a soil bacteria lung disease a few years ago, my grandparents died of cancer when I was young, the bucks you give to the doctor is for yourself and your family

I'd rather not know until the second before I go, otherwise I'd spend the rest of my time worrying about it.
