And did they fix the joy con drifting problem? Or did they decide to roll on with the same defect do people buy more controllers?
Ken
If they do a lottery just to buy this console in Japan that is going to hurt sales because everyone doesn't have the time and energy for that. Make enough consoles to not have to worry about scalpers or don't rush making a new console when the OLED just came out like 2 years ago. Crazy how they did things much better 20 years ago

People will be lining up in front of stores to be the first to buy it. It will be the biggest product for the year. Everyone will get one for Christmas this year

Sadly they didn't opt for hall effect thumbsticks but they say they're a lot more robust. The was an expensive, embarrassing mistake so they likely regretted using such flimsy pots in the original. We'll see. As for the lottery system, it's to avoid the rampant scalping that comes with new consoles. Historically, consoles are usually in limited supply at launch, except perhaps. for the unpopular ones.

You know they changed policy because of PS5 scalpers right? Buying the Switch 2 differs from country to country. In America people can't afford it since other prices of everything increased as well as well as it will never outsell the original Switch

From what I was told by a friend living in Japan, the international version of the Switch 2 will only be available from the Nintendo store. The local, Japanese version will be available at retail stores, such as Yodobashi and BIC Camera.

I play a lot of video games, but nothing has got me excited for this.

I believe (and hope) so.
Nintendo has operated a free replacement service for years, so people don't have to buy more controllers.
