War is unrelenting, brutal in its ugliness. Gaza has been devastated, piles of rubble litter where humanity shopped, congregated.

Gaza has been decimated yes whole areas destroyed beyond recognition.

Yet little has been achieved learnt, centuries of hate and revulsion have been allowed to fester unabated.

My posts are provocative, some will understandably recoil suggest censurable, offensive.

Yet this conversation debate is mired in a politically motived refusal to allow open discussion without lurching to a war of words, open hostility.

What many people have failed to recognize is that Hamas is NOT ALONE in this fight and Iran is NOT the only backer.

There is NO WAY IN HELL that Hamas can be alone in fact many Arab and non Arab nations who despise Bibi and Zionism and are friendly with Israel do support Hamas and the Palestinians rights to self determination.

Why exactly are the 1967 borders such a magic figure that must be returned to? Borders in the area have been changing forever. The 67 borders would leave Israel in an geographically disastrous position (5 km or so from Jordan to the sea). Any Israeli govmt that accepted those would need iron-proof ensurance that the resulting neighours respect Israels right to exist, which neither Hamas nor the PA do.

Israel did agree in essence to return to the 1967 borders in return for peace: The Camp David summit of the year 2000. Yaser Arafat said no. In the present situation much stronger security arrangements are needed.
