Education should be giving children the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life. Trump is right.

to answer your question: all my 3 children attend(ed) public Japanese schools and 2 of them are pretty successful already. Not that the Japanese education system is perfect, not at all, too much pressure (for too many gram schools, returning home late in the evening), education like XX years ago with no positive major changes and so on. But all in all, as for me, I can't complain.
