35 dead as driver rams into crowd at sports center in a southern Chinese city

China is struggling now, big time. Lots of unease, anger and tensions bubbling under the surface by the sounds. This is a tragic case where one guy just popped.

Horrific for the people involved.

What a terrible act. No place in the world is immune to this kind of violence. RIP to the deceased and a speedy recovery to the injured.

Another human driven to extremes by the merciless nature of modern society? In China he will get what he probably wanted - his own physical annihilation courtesy of the state.

Images in the news are terrible, with the known tendency of Chinese authorities to keep everything under wraps it may take some time until more is known about this tragedy, but what can't be denied is that for the surviving victims and the families of the deceased, the motives and punishment is something secondary to their loss.

So have lots of other countries, including Japan. Violent and senseless crimes are on the rise all over.

He was apparently upset about a divorce, and after killing everyone he then wounded himself.

Terrible for all the dead people and their families.

Can't say that I disagree with this punishment for this specific crime. Hopefully, his harvested organs will help others.
