The daily dose of Israeli crimes against humanity.
Imagine that poor guy with his family lying dead next to him. Imagine how that would make you feel. Honestly, if I hadn't done so already I'd want to take up arms and fight the evil overlords who caused their deaths. I'd be an ordinary person driven to extraordinary measures.
At that point though, I'd be labeled a 'Terrorist' or a 'militant' by Israel and sections of the Western media to nullify and skew my motives.
In my mind though, I'd be the Resistance, a freedom fighter.
This is how Israel has created Hamas. These are the circumstances the Palestinians have endured for far to long. Where is the world intervention? Where is the 2 state solution to protect the Palestinian people from the Israelis? They desperately need it.

Everyone wants a ceasefire except Hamas and Netanyahu. Might it be time for some new elections?
RichardPearce
There's an lot of effort going into creating an impression of an 'imminent ceasefire deal' despite the 'talks' between the backers of the Israeli regime and Netanyahu being suspended, and nobody even trying to pretend that the US is pressuring him to accept the deal Palestine and the US hammered out.
Why?
Because if you have that impression, then the efforts to portray the upcoming Iranian response to Israeli's barbarous attacks as 'hindering peace' and the American intervention, in support of what the ICC and ICJ both say is close enough to genocide that it's a technicality to not term it as such, seem to be somehow 'supporting peace'.

Excellent posts. Agree with all of you.

It's also worth noting that the 'preparations for a deal' seem to consist of getting ready to try and shield those who have violated almost all the Geneva Conventions, violated all of the ICSPCA, and enough of the CPPCG that it's down to hairsplitting and arguing about punctuation marks whether they'd be found guilty of Genocide. That the US is rushing battleships, rather than hospital ships, bombs, rather than heavy equipment that can be used to rescue or retrieve the Palestinians under the rubble of Israeli attacks, to the area tells you that they are NOT preparing for a deal that would see Palestinian lives being saved, or Palestinian hostages being released from Israel's 'detention centers'.

Hamas still in the middle of “find out” stage.
Some dude
It seems strange to involve Hamas - a group whose openly-stated goal is the elimination of Israel - in such talks. By their very self-definition, they could never do so in good faith. Israel knows this, which might explain why they're so forceful in their response: the idea is that you eradicate Hamas entirely or you don't show up to the fight.
I'm not making a case for Israel here. The whole thing is a sorry mess. But logically, you can't invite Hamas to talk about a truce unless they change their objectives - in which case they're no longer Hamas.

The Israelis by their brutal destruction of Gaza as an inhabitable entity for over 2 million displaced Palestinians and their inhumane indiscriminate slaughter of civilians, both actions with the most transparent malice aforethought, have placed themselves outside the bounds of civilization. Ditto for the governments, business and media moguls who have been facilitating this barbaric savagery for decades thus confirming my decades-long held conviction that the state of Israel has always been a crime against humanity spawned by US geopolitical interests following in the wake of the Holocaust, WW2, German ultra-nationalism and the catastrophe of WW1. I'm only thankful that my humanitarian values have prevented me from descending into the abyss of anti-semitism. Any increase in real anti-semitism around the world will be the consequence of this heinous, criminal war on, not in Gaza (a yuge semantic difference in English) writ large by every humanitarian body in the world is now all on the Israelis and their accomplices abroad (not US college campus protestors and mass street protests globally).
Torelol
Don't get fooled. There's no war here. Just an endless and disgusting slaughtering that has been running since 1948.
Western Europe, the UK and specially US are as guilty as Zionist Israel of genocide. The US alone could finish this barbaric act right now! They don't need any mediation talk or any other pantomime. Just a call to the war criminal Netanyahu, put him in jail and stop fueling Israel with more weapons. Let the UN, UNRWA and other peace organizations get into Gaza. Let the humanitarian aid get into Palestinians and start a one state solution. Jews and Palestinians living in a single state with equal rights and a real democracy. Stop the apartheid now.

The most recent attack on a Palestinian village in the occupied west bank , by a mob of crazed "settlers, saw the widespread destruction of homes and vehicles and the murder of a young Palestinian man.
The IDF were present and did not intervene.

Some dude above.
What do you say when Netanyahu expressly says "No Palestinian State while I am PM " and he gets voted into office.
Add Smotrich saying "starving 2 million Gazans may be morally justified but the world wont let us "
These are the people you expect to deliver a just outcome ?
Those attitudes are calling for the extinction of hopes for a Palestinian state, and the genocide of Palestinians.
Why would Hamas "negotiate in good faith " {your term } with people like this ?

It's crucial to note that the first case of childhood polio in 25 years has surfaced, necessitating a vaccination program. However, a truce is required to enable 700 workers to administer the vaccines.
WoodyLee
Net will do whatever he can to Torpedo the peace Talks.
This is all by design to try to get Hamas or the Palestinians to back out of the talks and NOT end the war, by now everyone knows it, but in the end Bibi will lose for one very simple reason,
Hamas will Still be There and Will probably continue to be there when Bibi is Gone.

You'll note I used the phrase "sorry mess". Unlike the Russia / Ukraine situation, which is as black and white as it's possible to be, this whole Israel / Gaza / Palestine / Hamas thing is a tremendous...well, mess. Best word I can find for it.
It's also why I roll my eyes at hysterically written, purely emotionally-driven posts such as some of those in this thread. ("The Israelis by their brutal destruction of Gaza as an inhabitable entity for over 2 million displaced Palestinians and their inhumane indiscriminate slaughter of civilians, both actions with the most transparent malice aforethought wah wah wah (Charlie Brown teacher noises)..."). You might as well ask ChatGPT to "write an anti Israel-post in the manner of a newly politically aware college student with a propensity for flowery prose".
Netanyahu is certainly doing his bit to make sure that the situation gets worse, rather than better. And other people adding fuel to the fire doesn't help.
But the fact that even suggesting that this is a multi-faceted issue gets you shouted down by a bunch of hysterical shriekers, tells us something. Something about the lady protests too much...

The Times of Israel reports the IDF figure it has killed 17,000 Hamas militants in this war.
Lancet Periodical estimates over 180,000 people may have been killed when factoring those unable to be identified {blown to bits }, those without identity papers and the many thousands lying dead underneath the rubble of what used to be Gaza's towns and cities.
Remember these figures when some poster bangs on about "IDF targeting Hamas only ", or "civilian deaths are small compared to ratios of combatants to civilian deaths in other wars ".
Am I protesting too much ?
GuruMick
Some Dude above....not just Hamas fighting...at least 5 or other groups fighting.
Some are "Islamic ", at least one is "Marxist "
I know Hezbollah rewrote their Constitution to exclude "total destruction of Israel'
I am unsure whether the "Hamas Charter " actually calls for Israel's destruction.
Some scholar may inform me.

Good, but not enough.

Bad. Too many. Note the ambiguity of "may have been" and "reports". That's another problem with war: everyone lies to further their message.
Seeing two sides of this isn't hard. Hamas needs to be wiped out to a man. The collateral damage to civilians is a negative byproduct of doing so, even if Israel (claims to) broadcast warnings first. War is an unpleasant business, yet we as a species seem unable to stop engaging in it.
GuruMick
Some dude "Hamas needs to be wiped out to a man "
Sounds like Netanyahu's "total victory " rubbish.
Even Israeli Defence Minister says Netanyahu's claims are "gibberish " {his words }
Do you expect Palestinians to roll over and show their belly ?
There will be 10 times the number of new fighters .
A Palestinian state is needed....not ethnic cleansing.
Maybe the IDF fools who post on tic tok need "to be wiped out...to a man ".
Dont forget who is accused of war crimes and genocide.

No mate, you are spot on each and every time. Bang on with your assessment of this from Day 1.
I first visited Israel in 1997 as a young guy, having grown up on the Western narrative of Israel good/Arabs bad type biased narrative. I went in through the Rafah border crossing from Egypt and was shocked at what I saw and experienced in the couple of weeks I was there, and it completely reordered my perspective.
It led me to read a number of outstanding authors who challenge the hypocrisy and hegemony of Western powers, whom I am sure you would know.
Keep on swinging.

I guess we just see things differently. I see two parties, both doing horrendous things to each other, in an endless cycle of violence and stupidity. You see the attack on the music festival as something to be celebrated whereas the response to it as something to be condemned. So dead Jews are funny to you, whereas dead Palestinians are a tragedy. I can't really understand that perspective, but it takes all sorts.

As the US allows, supports and enables the war crimes to continue!

Israel is a terrorist state

Some dude ...dont make assumptions about what I see, and I wont make assumptions about what you see.
Most of my posts come from watching daily news sources showing new atrocities and genocide by Israel.
Hard to know what to believe about Oct 7 military attacks on Israel when so many lies were told in the following days by Israeli IDF and others.
In law, a witness who lies at the start of testimony should not be believed in the middle and end of testimony.
I believe the world has awakened to the Israeli lying narrative.

As Golda Meir said more than 65 years ago, "The Palestinians will never have peace until they love their children more than they hate the Jews." Truth. The Palestinians and Hamas started the war, the Jews will end the war when they want to.

Strange how some of the usual posters are silent here. They just can't bring themselves to say anything bad about the genociders and their US guardians and so have to keep quiet.

This war is not going well for Israel. It needs to quickly eliminate more of these terrorists. Israel must use the most powerful and advanced weapons it has.
The genocidal occupiers in Gaza need to be either pushed back to the countries they came from or be dealt a more permanent fate as other Islamic terrorists have been dealt in the past.
Sanjinosebleed
I wonder if this is how Germany started in the 1930s…?.?

Clock ticking for Israeli politicians and Israeli military.
The leaders will be hung by trial for proven genocide. Israelis were given a chance in 1948 but they blew it. Just didn't know how to be a normal country . From day one they were out of their minds. Now coming to a conclusion. As for the future of Israel? Who cares?
