This is now the danger and will decimate the airlines, as there is no longer a surety that passengers from Asia will be allowed to disembark.

In times past, before globalization and when the mighty $¥£€ didn't trump health and well being, it would be seen as absurd that sovereign governments around the world can be coerced (extortioned) to keep the gates open for an onslaught of potentially infected tourists, just to serve the propaganda purposes of an authoritarian regime.
I honestly feel for the South Korean people. Having to put up with air pollution wafting accross the straight from China, threatened with nuclear weapons from North Korea (with help from China), and now this, and they really have no choice as can be learnt from recent times when SK businesses were punished by the CCP (Lotte, Samsung etc..driven out of China)

Italy now has 152 cases, the largest number outside of Asia, including three deaths,
doing the maths on that mortality rate would be more honest than anything else we being drip fed.

All the other Asian countries needs to block any Chinese coming into their country now before it's too late. The politicians needs to make a hard decision to block Chinese from coming in and also must have 14 days mandatory quarantine for their people coming back from China, not just Wuhan.

I can't believe Italy has surpassed Japan in infection numbers.

China for the most part is still locked down and is in quarantine. If you read the article you would have seen that Korea is beginning to lock down areas as well. The impact on the economy has been huge.
The possible reason why there aren't so many cases in other countries is because they aren't specifically testing for coronavirus like Italy has begun doing. Hospitals ask "have you been to China? Have you spent time with someone from China? No? OK you have a cold." That is not enough at this point because many are catching it without any ties to China. Even our resources like testing kits are incredibly limited. Then, when we do have them, they are prone to fail and come back negative when the person is positive.
As for Japan, it wouldn't be surprising to hear if they were purposely keeping the numbers low to save face and keep the Olympic dream going or prevent economic trouble.
Back when the virus was first announced you deniers could go around spouting your nonsense but now there are dozens of videos out there of children and adults being thrown into body bags in China.

Also didn't help a bunch of leftists in Italy said it wasn't politicaly correct to be wary of Asians and had things like "Hug an Asian day" or "go out to dinner with an Asian."

That is what is going to happen with passengers of flights being rejected.
Amazingly awful because it goes for demise of airlines and any possible exchange.
Rejecting on a non-scientific basis is called unlawful. Making selection based on nationality is stupid.
I remind people covid 19 is not aski g about nationality before infecting.

How can there be more infections with everyone wearing dust masks?

Err no. The decision not to admit travelers is a governmental decision and probably occured while the aircraft was in flight. A group of Korean pilgrims visited Israel last week a a number were diagnosed with Covid after their return. This has prompted hundreds to be quarantines in Israel in the last few days. They have good reason to be suspicious based on nationality.

Rejecting people based on Nationality is sound. Israelis have a undeniable right to enter their own country and were placed in quarantine after disembarking the aircraft.

actually 3/152 (1.97%) is consistent with what we've seen already reported as a mortality rate of about 2%. The problem is that in Asia this has risen to 3.3% overall. It's going up
