The BBC quotes Trump as saying the Israeli attacks on Iran are 'Excellent'.

Process that for a minute, think about it.

You have a completely unhinged, fully armed ultra nationalist Israeli regime, funded by the US tax payer and loudly and publicly backed by their equally unhinged President, attacking and striking several countries in their region, but now starting a full scale war with Iran and targeting nuclear facilities in the process.

Israel are not only internally genocidal, they are regionally minacious - the mad dog of the Middle East.

Just saw footage of missiles raining down on Haifa, other places too. Large secondaries on the ground.

There are definitely casualties in Israel from this ongoing self-defensive reply to the unprovoked aggression of US-ally Israel, which was a sneak attack during diplomatic negotiations.

Another barrage is expected shortly.

Waiting for sanctions from US/EU, assets seizures and for being banned from international sports. Don't hold your breath.

The Palestinians have been there for 400 years. The Jews were moved back there about 100 years ago, and now they want it all. This is where we are. A ruthless extermination of a largely peaceful people. Hamas shouldn't have done the various things they did, but also the Jewish government have been pushing the to this purpose. They wanted a casus belli and they got it. They won't listen to anyone until the Palestinians are pushed out completely, children murdered, sick and old buried under rubble. If you defend this I have some questions about your morals. I've said it since day one, they got the excuse to flush out everyone and claim the land and they'll use it.

I know where you got your information so it’s funny that you conveniently left out that the actual statistic isn’t “destroyed” but “damaged or destroyed” and that any building with so much as a window blown out would be classified as damaged. A full frontal display of western colonial arrogance. A people have their land and livelihoods taken from them by force for the sin of belonging to the wrong religion, their land colonized by people from other lands then those very same colonists and their western supporters act all surprised and indignant when the rightful land owners fight back.

Groups like Hamas and Hezbollah do not exist in a vacuum. Israel created these groups by their colonial lust for land. The original Arab population of Palestine has every right to fight back against the Israelis. If my land was taken by force from me under similar circumstances I would fight too, and I would be every bit as ruthless as Hamas. No quarter given. The Israelis have held the Palestinians in two giant open air prisons since 1967. That is 58 years. Imagine how Japan or Germany would have reacted had the US not only occupied their nations for 58 years after WWII but forced the native population off their land at gunpoint, forced to live in misery in concentration, er I mean refugee, camps while Americans took their land and their homes as their own. Think the Germans and Japanese would have just rolled over for that? Amazing the tripe that comes from supporters of Israeli colonialism.

Yes, and we’ve agreed it isn’t uniform. Per Wikipedia: Carpet bombing, also known as saturation bombing, is a large area bombardment done in a progressive manner to inflict damage in every part of a selected area of land. The phrase evokes the image of explosions completely covering an area, in the same way that a carpet covers a floor.

key word: EVERY PART. A your own statistic shows that not every part of Gaza has been bombed. Therefore it isn’t carpet bombing

The official said Israel had "eliminated the highest commanders of their military leadership" and had killed nine nuclear scientists who were "main sources of knowledge, main forces driving forward the (nuclear) program.

Israel has been killing Iranian scientists, military commanders and some political leaders as well. It has been for quite a long time. It will not stop Iranian nuclear research and development. Killing some nuclear scientist like killing gold medal athletes. Even that finest athletes are still alive, they can not keep their best performance forever. Nuclear scientists will be eventually old and retire as well. Iran population is more than 92 millions. It will not hard to replace those lost talents.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki have been ashes before. Although buildings can be destroyed or some will be killed, the land will survive forever. New building of those cities are stronger than better than old generations. Same as nuclear scientists.

If Iran will develop nuclear energy for electrical power instead of military purpose, it is entirely their business. India and Pakistan have both nuclear arsenals. Both nations have fought large scale war for three times. Since both nations have developed nuclear arsenals, there have been no large scale wars.

If Iran has real WMD which Irag was wrongly accused, framed and ruined by Nathanyao(who is on vacation in Greece), it will be unlikely get the attack.

A couple of internationally recognized cases of carpet bombing. I would direct you to the percentage of buildings affected.

Würzburg (Germany):

Dresden (Germany):

Estimates suggest that 75-80% of Dresden's buildings were damaged or destroyed. 

Zadar (Croatia):

Guernica (Spain):

Three-quarters of the buildings in Guernica were reported completely destroyed.

I might be worth you remembering that Israel's inability to peacefully manage it's place in Palestine and the Middle East is currently costing you personally. A portion of what you currently earn as a member of the US armed forces, or whatever you do, is taken from you and given directly to Israel.

You are paying for that. You are gifting them your money, because they cannot manage their situation responsibly as a respectful and considerate country in the Middle East. They can't build relationships, only destroy them. They can't negotiate mutually respectful and beneficial agreements and abide by them, they do the opposite.

You are paying for that incompetence.

Now you may not be aware that the head of Israel's intelligence services quit because his warnings that Iran had thoroughly penetrated Israel's military, military suppliers, and his intelligence services.

And before Netanyahu started this war, Iran's intelligence services had essentially confirmed this by releasing enough information about Israel's nuclear weapons program to suggest it has the vital secret information about where all of Israel's enriched nuclear material is that means that it can continue to hit Israel's nuclear weapons program sites without accidentally causing a nuclear disaster.

Israel has nuclear weapons. Israel is not waging war against Gaza, it is waging war against the whole of Palestine as well as many other countries in the Middle East. The direct attack on Iran is just Israel's latest move.

Sorry, Israel, I do not feel sorry for you. Your aggression has led to retaliation. There is no doubt about who the aggressor is.

Sorry, Israel, I do not feel sorry for you. Your aggression has led to retaliation. There is no doubt about who the aggressor is.

A lot of people feel this way now, rightfully so.

Even back in October 2023, these boards were quite full of people commenting about Palestinians getting what they deserved for Hamas' attack and being very pro-Israel, with little to no understanding of why it had happened at all. At this point, most of that appears to have evaporated.

To those who have a better grasp of the big picture, Israel has actually been visiting misery and oppression on the Palestinians since 1948. They have been given a kind of 'Hall-Pass' on that because of their history, which itself has been bad, and people recognise and understand that. But the truth is, Israel has taken that hall pass and completely abused it. They have killed, stolen from and abjectly mistreated the Palestinians for 77 years, and in the last couple, simply conducted a genocide against them. Israel has turned into a monster.

I also have no sympathy for them whatsoever at this point, and Iran has every right to strike back at them.
