Another activist Biden appointed that thinks they were elected to something.

They were legally appointed and they are legally shutting fascists down.

Today’s order means that the Trump administration’s disastrous mass firings of career civil servants are blocked while this wildly disruptive and unlawful agency action is litigated

If Trump keeps overstepping his authority, the judges will continue to reverse his actions.

Ah Black label imagine having to obey the rules and laws of the land.

It's so unfair isn't it

Going after judges has been done before.

"I expect the legal profession to understand that the nation is not here for them but they are here for the nation... From now on, I shall intervene in these cases and remove from office those judges who evidently do not understand the demand of the hour." — Adolf Hitler

The Supreme Court has already shut you down multiple times and I expect that to continue. They don't have to fear the MAGA mob.

Have they? Multiple times?

which cases?

activist liberal appointed judges

Judge Joun is an Army and National Guard veteran! He served!

He wasn’t on the golf course spinelessly claiming heel spurs make him illegible to serve his country.

It's great to hear an internet armchair lawyer be confidently wrong.

It's almost like you don't actually understand how they legal system works at all.

Trump University earn a degree in scam

Good luck stopping Trump and Co., as SCOTUS has given him ample air cover via "Chevron" and other recent rulings to run agencies as he sees fit.

Plus, Congress pulling $funding, so DOE is a dead duck, going back to the states, hugely popular election issue

DJ Trump = Promises Made, Promises Kept

This is what self destruct looks like, the rest of the world is spending billions on education while the U.S. is dismantling it's watch dog.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Trump and Co. correctly believe DOE just a wasteful bureaucratic organization that's done nothing to address terrible education testing performance of US students and why Trump having states to take $ownership = ROI

More attempts at dumbing things down.

What a stupid country!

Blacklabel, are you able to argue the legal aspects of the case, or are you only able to state "liberal activist judge" over and over again?

Sounds like more education is needed.

Look at the picture at the top of the article - and one word comes to mind...

LOSER....

The go-to MAGA excuse and coping mechanism...used so often it no longer has any meaning...

7 ( +9 / -2 )

When they have no case and things don’t go their way, the only thing MAGA can do is just claim “LIBERAL ACTIVIST JUDGE!”

If you don't like the system, there are ways to get it changed, but since Trump skipped 5th grade "how the US Govt works", he doesn't understand.

A bill starts in the House. It is sent to committee for whipping it into shape to avoid abuse and waste and graft. If the committee likes it, then it will be brought to the floor of the House for discussions/debate and either sent back to committee or passed.

Next a bill goes to the Senate where it is considered again. Often, the Senate will bring up issues that need correcting so they can pass it or they will flatly refuse it and the bill dies for that year. If the House version and the Senate version aren't too different, a group from both chambers will meet to resolve the issues and call it "passed".

Next the passed bill goes to the President, who can sign it into law or veto it or ignore it. The President can say what he doesn't like about the bill and send it back to Congress who can choose to modify it, debate it again, pass it in each chamber or let it die.

How can Trump not understand this. It isn't hard. Every 5th grader in the US knows it.

Heck, there's even a cartoon about it - which is what Trump probably needs. Send him this link so he can learn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ8psP4S6BQ It's only 3 minutes. 1 person spending 3 minutes to learn something useful is better than him being so ignorant and wasting time for 100M voters.

Yes, that's the system. The problem is his followers think he's a dictator, not a president. And Trump has gone stark raving mad.

Just another one for the Supreme Court to rule and hand it back to Trump.

Now the US understand why trump said that he love the uneducated, they vote for him and he want more of them. The more uneducated the more trump feel like a genius.

"Judge blocks Trump's orders to dismantle Education Department and fire employees."

I wish people can spend more time finding ways of improving education than arguing and using judges as referees. We got school still producing factory workers and a nations without factories since politicians sold the poor to the developing countries.

Most Blacks and Latinos are educated, for the record.

Strange that previously, you posted Blacks had the lowest literacy rates.

Working to prevent senseless destruction of education services is a very good way of helping.

Also, what do you think Judges should be "used" if not as referees? Do you suggest they should just be figures to rubberstamp whatever the people in power say?
