The Trump team was once again outplayed.
They argued that the lawsuit against them, filed April 28, lacked “timeliness” because the Executive Order was issued nearly three months ago.
However, in similar cases around the country, the Trump administration has argued lawsuits filed immediately after Executive Orders were issued are “premature.”
Judge Illston caught sight of this incongruent argument.
“Defendants cannot have it both ways," she wrote. “The Court finds that plaintiffs reasonably waited to gather what information they could about the harm they may suffer from the Executive Order, the OMB/OPM Memorandum, and the ARRPs (Agency RIF and Reorganization Plans).”

Trump wants to be an autocrat or king, where his word becomes law. But he lives in a democratic country where the constitution has breaks on such leaders with clearly separated powers and responsibilities. Executive orders are not the top of the totem pole, that resides in the determination of a group of people in the supreme court.
Judges have a responsibility to the law and the constitution even if the political leader, in this case Trump, wants to bulldoze his orders through in a way that is unlawful, unconstitutional or even morally wrong or contestable.
The system seems to be working for now but Trump is still managing to do much damage to America anyway. Let us hope his damage is reversible for the next President to clean up the debris Trump leaves behind, like a loss of standing, reputation and reliability amongst the international community.

And the Guiness Record for losing in court just grows larger...."winning"....
I mean come on, it has to be like 90 losses to 3 wins...
Our judicial system continues to save us from MAGA-fascism...
