Some type of “intelligence agency/officials” somewhere is always assigned to “backup” the latest false narrative.

sometimes they even sign letters for dramatic effect.

and forged identification documents

lol why?

-13 ( +6 / -19 )

Why would the Russians need any North Korean troops given the direction of the battle?

-8 ( +9 / -17 )

As we speak, they are being exposed to instant communication with the world outside of the hermit kingdom. They may be under strict orders not to use devices connected to the rest of the world, but took root in Russia long ago and there is no avoiding it.

Another half-baked, crazed fabrication from the usual suspects.

The NIS 'evidence' presented is laughable in the extreme (none of which are posted here incidentally).

But let's examine it the other way round. If true, so what? Kyiv passed a law last week allowing mercenaries to become officers in the AFU (which has long been filled with foreigners in the ranks).

.

But let's examine it the other way round. If true, so what?

Does this mean that you haven't been told what to think yet?

10 ( +17 / -7 )

No. It means one should examine the actual evidence while maintaining an open mind.

No. It means one should examine the actual evidence while maintaining an open mind.

Good idea, you should try that sometime. Especially that second part.

Easley, the professor, said “it would be surprising if Pyongyang deployed thousands of soldiers to fight as hired mercenaries." But he added it would not be surprising if North Korea sent construction workers, technicians, engineers, and military intelligence officers to Russian-controlled enclaves.

I agree with that part. Cheap labour for a country on war footing makes sense. And North Korean labour has already been hired out for long for e.g. logging work in Siberia. But these Zelenski claims about North Korean soldiers at the front do not pass the sniff test. About "intelligence agencies", remember the many stories we have been told before.

About 20 years ago I had 14 hour layover in one of Moscow's airports. In one waiting area were several hundred men in military uniform who I assumed from their appearance to be either Chinese or North Korean. I was hoping they were NKs as I could tell my friends I had met some North Korean military. Sadly they were Russians from the far east. Ethnically "Korean". Maybe this latest propaganda story started after some spotted a similar regiment of Russians?

But why even comment when the Mod deletes all my on topic posts?

They don´t. And welcome to the club.

How do you know it is a false narrative? More than a few intelligence agencies are saying it, and it makes sense. Russia needs troops.

10 ( +15 / -5 )

A sign that fascist Russia is struggling, having to throw thousands of untested walking target North Koreans into the fray. These little men would not exactly be the best specimens for the front-line, that's for sure.

They'll soon find out facing off with battle-hardened Ukrainians is different from goose-stepping and looking tough for FatBoy Kim.

Hopefully they are all dealt with by the Ukrainians appropriately

6 ( +13 / -7 )

i need a littttle more evidence than “it makes sense” to back up something Zelensky said first that needs someone else to back it up.

You're certainly an expert on false narratives, sir.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

So to set the record straight...Russia, which is achieving its objective of liberating Kyiv in 72 hours, well, months is more likely, well, actually we haven't done it yet but don't tell the Kremlin because I'd like at least some members of my family to be alive if and when I get out of here, is allegedly using grunts from North Korea because they, Russia, don't need any help crushing a pipsqueak country like Ukraine, so, er yeah.

9 ( +14 / -5 )

“Allegedly” being the crouton in the word salad.

I'd imagine that for the average North Korean, even having to risk your life for Putin is still preferable to living in North Korea.

We will organize a senate hearing for you sir, billionaires deserve special consideration!!!

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Yep. The changing numbers and the various sources are more than a little bit suspect.

This is clearly another salvo in their PR propaganda war. Sad Stuff.

Sure. And South Korean intelligence backs it up.

The NIS posted satellite imagery showing a Russian transport ship near North Korea and an estimated 640 North Korean personnel gathered at Russian military facilities in Ussuryisk and Khabarovsk on October 16. South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported on October 18 that the NIS also stated that North Korea recently decided to send four brigades totaling 12,000 personnel to the war in Ukraine.[

This is clearly another salvo in their PR propaganda war. Sad Stuff.

You know what is really sad?

You - and others - believing the endless propaganda of fascist Russia over South Korea.

Hope someone has ordered the extra-short body bags for these NK suckers!

burgers and beers

Sounds totally believable. Few days ago we were told 10 thousand North Korean soldiers were involved. Since no sane person bought that one, propaganda narrative has now trimmed it to 1500. Trust them.

You are really floundering here. Not sure why you went on the "it's not true" narative, but probably best to see how the story develops. Indeed, NK are looking to train ~11,000 troops:

Ukraine's Main Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Head Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov told The War Zone on October 17 that there are nearly 11,000 North Korean infantry troops training in eastern Russia and that they will be ready to fight in Ukraine by November 1.

Indeed, NK are looking to train ~11,000 troops:

again show us PROOF.

are you paid for spreading these "verified info" here?

Sir, the proof is in N.Korea, please find your way there and you can spend a lot of time look at ‘proof’

7 ( +12 / -5 )

This fits into a well-established pattern.

Make spurious allegations backed up by no or very flimsy 'evidence', wash it through the media blob like gospel. When it is disproved or never transpires, make no retraction or correction and pretend it had some basis in reality.

We've seen this movie before and it's a dud.

-12 ( +5 / -17 )

Fighto!

They'll soon find out facing off with battle-hardened Ukrainians is different from goose-stepping and looking tough for FatBoy Kim.

You me the "battle-hardened Ukrainians" that are press-ganged from nightclubs in Kiev? Remember that it is Zelenski who is running out of manpower, not Russia.

Sir, awesome analysis. Did you factor in the possibility that the allegations might be true!!!

We've seen this movie before and it's a dud.

Yes sir, please stop watching movies, it’s messing up your sense of reality!!!

Remember that it is Zelenski who is running out of manpower, not Russia.

More hilarious nonsense.

Yep, all is going to plan for the fascists after almost 3 YEARS. Recruiting little North Koreans suckers for the frontline, it was all part of the long term plan, eh!

Keep that spin going.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

If they aren’t running out of soldiers why is Zelensky grabbing young dudes out of bars and concerts and shopping malls?

it’s a legitimate question.

why aren’t these guys voluntarily appearing to register?

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

The Pentagon and British, French, etc...military and intelligence services say Russia has 700,000 troops in Ukraine plus anoth 300,000 to 500,000 in Russia.

Seriously "1,500" north Koreans!?

As for;

On Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his government has intelligence that 10,000 troops from North Korea.

And Zelensky in joining Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin on Halloween.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

So western news is now claiming Russia is running out of troops contrary to the western military reports.

I guess we file these under the same category as running out of shells, tanks, artillery, missiles, etc.. the previous 15 to 20 times.

But something doesn't add up Ukraine has lost more land including getting surrounded on Kursk

Your adding up skills aren't reliable. You thought a million was a thousand not long back.

Ukraine has lost more land including getting surrounded on Kursk

Are they surrounded on the Ukranian side too?

I suppose they must Kims personal super-soldiers, aka little terminators? I am looking forward to more information from Zelenskis "military intelligence".

I see as usual you don't have anything to say so you insult as usual.

Get back to us when you have facts.

It is sad you never have anything factual only insults.

You can't add up, you have proven this.

What you haven't proven is the other things that you claimed. Wanna try proving them instead of crying like a spoilt kid?

Poor clip, still zero facts as usual.

Maybe you would like some help.

Well Zelensky should be looking at his own deepstatemap site with the daily updates of who controls what territory.

Seems he isn't aware.

Deepstatemap is the defacto official mapping of territory and battles so civilians and convoys can avoid Russian held territory and where fighting is happening.

And it has been a very bad month for Ukraine

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

So, with the odds that claims about Russia using Iranian drones being believed soon to drop to zero as Iran's drones overwhelm everything Netanyahu and Biden through up to protect the ongoing crimes of Netanyahu's war ON Palestine and Lebanon and Syria and their civilians, we get a revised version of Russia getting missiles and shells from North Korea, it getting soldiers from there instead.

That Zelensky is so short of people willing to fight for him that he's got Azovian units roaming the streets grabbing the ones the regular draft screeners ruled unfit, or too vital to be sent to the kill zones, and is begging Europe to force those who fled his regime to return so they can be made to die for it instead has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the sudden 'discovery' of this 'plan'.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

PS, wonder if Zelensky is about to order his 'recruitment officers' to stop hoping they will find a 'volunteer' at the rare party, and start a door to door search of every building

I see you still have nothing.

No facts no gains, just losses just like those three said.

As for my " claims" I see the map, I read the news and anyone that saw the last 2 months of " Russia running out of troops" "Russia running out of steam" MSNBC, ABC, CTV, CBC, BBC , Radio free Europe, Wall Street journal, new York Times, etc... all have had articles saying one or the other and again repeating the same, "Russia running out of weapons".

But since August, we haven't seen anything other than Ukraine scrambling to plug the gaps.

But hey who needs fact when we have Clip to say what is going on without and facts.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Bloomberg, ABC, NBC were the first 3 that came up after a 5 second Google search. You should try it. Or did Putin weaponize Google search now too?

A link should be so easy then. Even a Vatnik can do this.

No. That isn't what they are saying. They are saying that South Korea's intelligence says that North Korea has dispatched troops to support Russia's war against Ukraine.

That is a fact. So don't go "western news is now claiming".

I guess we file these under the same category as running out of shells, tanks, artillery, missiles, etc.. the previous 15 to 20 times.

I guess you could put it in other news categories where you didn't want to believe the evidence and then reduce it down to an absurd statement, that nobody said.

But something doesn't add up Ukraine has lost more land including getting surrounded on Kursk

How does Ukraine's troop numbers have any relevance to the veracity of this story? It's not related.

No western news is claiming that. Probably best to read the news reports rather than engage in speculation.
