How many missiles is that going to cost? How come infinite monies are spent for Israel but none for Ukraine?

“Five children and two women were among the 53 people killed in the U.S. strikes”

When someone else does this maga call it warmongering or terrorism.

So we can add "child-killer" to the list of Trump accomplishments! Good job Donald.

How many missiles is that going to cost? How come infinite monies are spent for Israel but none for Ukraine?

Europe can help its fellow brethren, Israel has no one else but us and given the ties, history and being an instrumental part in helping them re-establish their homeland, we will always be there for Israel.

Regional Stability: Israel serves as a critical democratic ally in a turbulent region. Its strategic location and military capabilities help the United States maintain a foothold in the Middle East, providing a counterbalance to destabilizing influences.

Defense Collaboration: The two nations work closely on military exercises, technology development, and joint operations. Israel often acts as a testing ground for advanced defense systems and cybersecurity measures, insights from which can enhance U.S. defense capabilities.

Counterterrorism Efforts: Through robust intelligence sharing and coordinated security measures, Israel helps the U.S. track and combat terrorist networks and other emerging threats in the region.

Intelligence Sharing: Israel provides the U.S. with critical intelligence, particularly regarding threats from Iran, terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas, and developments in the Middle East.

Military Innovation: Israel develops cutting-edge military technology, such as the Iron Dome missile defense system, which the U.S. has co-funded and adapted for its own use.

Counterterrorism Cooperation: The two nations collaborate on counterterrorism strategies, sharing tactics and operational experience.

Innovation & R&D: Israel is a global leader in cybersecurity, medical advancements, and high-tech industries. Many U.S. companies have partnerships with Israeli firms in these sectors.

U.S. Defense Industry: American military aid to Israel largely goes toward purchasing U.S.-made weapons and technology, supporting American defense contractors and jobs.

Trade Relations: The U.S. and Israel have a free trade agreement, and Israel is one of America’s largest trading partners in the Middle East.

That’s why and that will always be, that will not change regardless who is President. The moment Biden started to walk away from Israel, I knew that was the end of his administration.

175 attempts to damage the US military and trying to damage global commerce is a big challenge for the world. Bidens tit for tat did not work, the Trump administration will fix this trouble once and for all with a clear message. The Houthis are the bullies, not the Americans.

Now subtract all the things we could cut back on if we didn't need to be in the Middle East and that leaves you with.... Israel does nothing for us.

Israel has no one else but us and given the ties, history and being an instrumental part in helping them re-establish their homeland, we will always be there for Israel.

Why is the US now instrumental in establishing Israel? Is this what they teach you in Sunday School? If Israel has no friends then it needs to reassess its behavior.

That’s why and that will always be, that will not change regardless who is President. The moment Biden started to walk away from Israel, I knew that was the end of his administration.

Because christian nutters would see it as a sign we needed more lunacy in the US administration?

• Trade Relations: The U.S. and Israel have a free trade agreement, and Israel is one of America’s largest trading partners in the Middle East.

Not as big as our treaty allies in Europe.

Europe can help its fellow brethren

On paper, yes. In the meantime the free world needs an actual leader and not a coward in the WH.

meh, unleash the Saudis (and friends), and watch the Houthis swim to Iran en masse.

Peace through strength has been activated.

Do you think the Houthis have been defeated again?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

They definitely have a point, and are expressing disgust for Israel's wipeout of Gaza. However, I don't think it is wise to attack a key shipping route repeatedly the way they have even if they do have a point, because it is impossible to know what ship is what and they will inevitably strike innocent targets. Plus, the Red Sea is NOT Israel. It is very unwise to attack this way, what can they expect as a result?

What Israel is doing is so many thousands of times more serious and horrific than attacks with weak weapons on ships. There's no doubt Israel is the problem so it is understandable why Yemen is at least trying to strike back somehow but the problem is that they are striking back at a limitlessly powerful monster in a very indirect way. It simply won't work.

Attacking Yamen is not going to solve ANYTHING.

The root cause of conflicts in the middle east is the continued OCCUPATION of Palestine by groups of Zionists and the double standard injustice being imposed on the Palestinian People and until that is removed NOTHING will improve or change.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Israel is a threat to the U.S. National Security,

By it's continued violations and denial of all U.N mandates and resolutions, and it's polices of Aggression and Expansion Israel is dragging the U.S. into it's wars and conflicts.

The U.S. has fought Israel's wars in Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, now Yamen, Next is Iran

and Syria all for Israel loosing thousands of U.S. lives and allies.

Zionists AIPAC is doing a superb job at keeping Israel safe at the cost of American Lives and Infrastructure.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Amazing - let's look at what the key issues our MAGA-friends said they voted for - and what they GOT...

Lower inflation? FAILED - prices, especially groceries, are rising - and will continue to rise as the Trump Tariff Tax bites hard...

No new wars? FAILED - just as we expect of a Repub President, we're now starting a new quagmire war in the Middle East...

Higher Stock Market? FAILED - it's tanking as US businesses see the impact Trump's needless trade wars have on their bottom line...

Law and Order? FAILED - there are more felons, convicts, grifters, kooks, and perverts in Trump's cabinet than at Leavenworth and Rikers Island combined...

Add all these to his flip-flops on "life begins at conception" and "EVs are a hoax and a scam", no wonder Repubs are revolting at Town Halls...

7 ( +10 / -3 )

> The U.S. has fought Israel's wars in Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, now Yamen, Next is Iran and Syria all for Israel loosing thousands of U.S. lives and allies.

Like we always say: to put it with the Political Analyst and Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs: ‘The United States are the most lawless and dangerous country in the world by far’

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Annexing Yemen a better option than Greenland.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

The United States will keep attacking Yemen's Houthis until they end attacks on shipping,

Where are the Europeans? This shipping lane is vital to their interests too.

Residents in Sanaa said the strikes hit a neighborhood known to host several members of the Houthi leadership.

Great precision strikes by the US.

Iran is talking tough but we saw they are made of fluff with their feeble attacks on Israel.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Amazing - let's look at what the key issues

lets not. As none of those relate to this article about the Houthis, do they?

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Amazing - let's look at what the key issues

lets not.

Indeed...tough to admit you got played...

Add one more to the ever-growing MAGA "flippity-floppity" list...they now like wars...

We knew they were just faking it and were closet NEOCONs all along...

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Now subtract all the things

I live in reality, no need to.

Why is the US now instrumental in establishing Israel? Is this what they teach you in Sunday School? If Israel has no friends then it needs to reassess its behavior.

Anyway, that’s not going to change, no matter how frustrated you get.

Because christian nutters would see it as a sign we needed more lunacy in the US administration?

If you think so…..ok

Not as big as our treaty allies in Europe.

I wasn’t talking about Europe, I was talking about the Mideast, focus, please.

On paper, yes. In the meantime the free world needs an actual leader and not a coward in the WH.

Again, you can say that all day, as long as he does what he’s doing and puts America first and gives less of our money to Ukraine, I’m good.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

So Trump is going back on his pledge of "no new wars" and that got me thinking...

A few days ago our MAGA-friends were chiding us because we pointed out Trump failed to keep his promises to "end the Ukraine war in 24 hours" and "immediately bring down prices on Day #1"....they said we were taking Trump "too literally"....and that may be true...

When Trump said "I'll protect the unborn" we shouldn't have taken that literally because he then flip-flopped and said he was OK with killing babies until the 15th week...

Then when he said RFK Jr was a "Dem Plant" and the "world's biggest liberal lunatic" - we shouldn't have believed that either because now he's Trump's HHS Secretary...

Then there's that warning that EVs are a "hoax" and a "scam" - but now he thinks they're great and owns one...

I guess there's only one of Trump's declarations that we KNOW we can believe - because it backed up by his actions....and a court victory...

"I just grab 'em by the #$%^&"....

How many missiles is that going to cost? How come infinite monies are spent for Israel but none for Ukraine?

The latter is not related to core US national security by any shake, unlike the Middle East, which has actual resources.

The missile cost will be enormous - meaning a limited number have to prioritized as depleted stockpiles are rebuilt for regions that actually count and have enormous national security implications, like the Asia Pacific too.

Having said that, the Houthis are doing a fantastic job at creating another flank.

How many missiles is that going to cost? How come infinite monies are spent for Israel but none for Ukraine?

Two things...The Houtis are attacking ships from a wide number of nations, including US war vessels

Also:

To date, the US has provided $66.5 billion in military assistance since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and approximately $69.2 billion in military assistance since Russia's initial invasion of Ukraine in 2014.

none for Ukraine

Say what?!!

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

The root cause of conflicts in the middle east is the continued OCCUPATION of Palestine

The Jewish people are indigenous to their homeland. The land gained in the 6 day war was a result of Egypt's aggression and Israel pushing back...and gaining territory that was previously part of Egypt...not "Palestine"...which never existed as a nation

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

I'm sure the dead kids feel really at peace, yeah.

So...allow the Houtis to bomb international shipping lanes at will?

Maybe they could politely ask them to stop?

Or perhaps giving in to terrorism is an option? I'm sure that won't result in future terrorsim...in which dead kids would result.

U.S. vows to keep hitting Houthis until shipping attacks stop

And the Houthis vow to keep hitting ships until the genocide stops.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

This has the potential to escalate into a regional conflict.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Someone wrote "Unleash the Saudis " and I am reminded of the joke "Saudia Arabia will fight til the last Pakistani "

I think this means Saudis not the "warriors " some believe.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

So...allow the Houtis to bomb international shipping lanes at will?

There are many ways of dealing with the Houtis WITHOUT killing children.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

There are many ways of dealing with the Houtis WITHOUT killing children.

Such as...

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Such as...

If you reach a point where you think killing children is the only way to deal with something, it may be better to examine your moral scale.

Otherwise it would be transparently clear that this is not an acceptable way to do anything.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi said on Sunday that his militants would target U.S. ships in the Red Sea as long as the U.S. continues its attacks on Yemen. "If they continue their aggression, we will continue the escalation," he said in a televised speech.

Houti leader wants to continue the conflict they've started...despite "dead Yemeni children" as a consequence

dead Yemeni children have been killed as a result of Houtis reckless aggression in attacking international shipping lanes (merchant mariners are people too...they have kids who rely on them to live) and American war vessels...at which they've fired over 175 missiles...prior to America's retaliation.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Amazing - let's look at what the key issues our MAGA-friends said they voted for - and what they GOT...

After a little over a month in office...and having to clean up the fiasco left behind by the previous administration

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

If you reach a point where you think killing children is the only way to deal with something

"killing children" is hardly "the way" I'm suggesting to respond to the continued missile attacks coming from Yemen...another wild swing and miss from idiotrex

The dead children are an unfortunate consequence of the Houtis military aggression of attacking American war ships...and terrorising international shipping lanes.

They are not "the way" to stop the attacks.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

And the Houthis vow to keep hitting ships until the genocide stops.

So...expect more "dead Yemeni children and merchant marines" I guess...

Now tell us more about the bonanza of rare earths in Ukraine.

Having said that, the Houthis are doing a fantastic job at creating another flank.

And the Syrians did an excellent job of removing the russian colonialists. Only a matter of time until the remnants scatter.

Prey tell...when exactly has the Middle East been "stable"

It is revealing that, despite being made up of people from across the Yemen ethnic/tribal spectrum, despite controlling more of Yemen's territory than post coup Kiev ever had control of in Ukraine, our media calls it Houthis, not Yemen's government and military.
