Posted in: Trump calls U.S.-Japan defense pact one-sided as tariff talks loom See in context

If he thinks it's one-sided, it's because it is. The US offers regional protection by power projection, and soft power in the major asia region. This deal isn't a net plus for Japan, it's the US that comes out the winner and it took a world war to gain it. This orange criminal isn't very smart, nor is his followers because they don't seem to grasp the most basic concepts.

What's in this deal for Japan: Fast-track to buy US-made weapon systems and training of such personnel. Drunk soldiers committing crimes in Okinawa and so on. Technically a soft military occupation disguised as a protection/deterrent force.

@Toshihiro

Nobody benefits from this, why do it?

Because his owners benefit from it. They are the only ones who benefit from a weakened rest-of-the-modern-world.

ruzzia, the answer is ruzzia and putler.

Should be clear to everyone.

Russians should not be admitted into Japan. The only way for them sheeples to put pressure on putler is to deny them freedoms like this.

Pay them what they are worth, give them more time off so they can live their lives.

We work so we can live our lives, not live so we can work. Get it, oyaji CEOs?

The fact that people like JJE actively tries to defend the terrorist/dictatorship state of ruzzia just proves they are still trying hard to cause discord among the public by using their troll factories on websites like this.

It's every month now. But salaries don't budge.

Japan better be ready for the incoming brain drain as skilled workers realize their quality of life is simply double or triple in other places at this rate.

And with that less skilled workers from less modernized countries will come to take its place, heightening cultural clashes, crime and so on.. Very predictable pattern as this happens in other places, too.

More people would create families if say there were something like, sick days, generally more time off, better salaries, better living arrangements (sizing), less harassment from the workplace, less discrimination towards women in the workplace, less overtime, you know, stuff that allows you to live a decent life.

Pull out of russia and deny travel to russians.

might as well add more sanctions just because. russia deserves to crumble with its people who allows this to keep happening.

putin wont change anything until pressure comes from within.

How it actually happened:

trump advocates for banning tiktok in his last presidency

tiktok is the most invasive spyware disguised as social media of our time, but NPCs dont want to understand it

it finally gets banned (which honestly anything chinese should be banned in all western countries for safety)

he gets paid behind the scenes because he would sell his wife and kids if someone paid enough

he restores it

acts like a major problem was solved.

takes all credit

You mean the china that willingly unleashed covid on the world, killing millions, causing trillions in loss, buying up properties in other countries when the local businesses were at their lowest, harvest organs from live political prisoners, cheats, lies and is generally the biggest bully on the planet tied with ruzzia, is not evil?

Glad we are on the same page.

Posted in: Foreign-born CEO says Japan needs immigration to thrive See in context

Adding more workers won't fix the problem.

One of the core issues with the economy is how work is done in Japan. Highly inefficient procedures and nonsensical rules, no support for taking time off or earn enough to raise a family. It's not comparable to northern European countries at all. Randomly pouring in a lot of cheap labor will just result in culture clashes as we've seen in western countries, and the safe Japan image will remain no more.

Despite being a modern country, Japan has these issues plus the national English level is not just low, it's disrespectfully low. Maybe start with flushing out the dinosaur-aged people at the leadership levels and get someone younger, smarter, who has ideas for a sustainable future.

Sounds like something a normal, functional government would do (read: not).

What's next, banning a bear-like children's book cartoon character because it looks similar to a certain dictator?

One of the biggest problems in japanese society today; people are willing to commit such heinous crimes because they simply don't care what happens after. A society where work comes before living your own life, and you have no chance of rising to the top in the gerontocracy, has a way of instilling apathy in people.
