For the war to end, Hamas needs to surrender and release the hostages. Then the war ends. Pretty simple. Anything else will just prolong the suffering. It is 100% Hamas' doing.

Strange kind of genocide where the so-called victims have seen their population INCREASE every year.
In 1948, there were about 100,000 Muslims in Israel and about 1,000,000 Jews living in Muslim countries. Today, there are 1.8 million Muslims in Israel and about 10,000 Jews in Muslim lands. Ever wonder why?

Hamas has been stealing aid for twenty plus years. What makes you think they would stop now?
IF all the aid given to Gaza had been used to actually improve the lives of Gazans, the whole area would be far better off.

It is a golden opportunity. Now that Iran's proxy terrorists like Hamas and Hezbollah have been largely stamped out, peace can break out in the area. The fact that many neighbouring countries were quietly happy that Iran was emasculated also bodes well for the future.

Godspeed to the IAF and their righteous mission to rid the world of the number one terror sponsor on the planet. And hopefully it can be done with minimal civilian casualties, as is usual with the IDF in general. Iran, in turn, lacks the tech or the will to differentiate between civilian and military targets.
Hopefully this will be over soon and the Iranian people can free themselves from the shackles that keep them down.

Please remember that "local health officials" actually means Hamas propagandists.
Hamas is reaping what they have sown. The people of Gaza are the pawns used by Hamas to save their own sorry, cowardly skins. If they were to just release the remaining hostages, the war would end tomorrow.

Aside from trying to get nuclear weapons and commit genocide against Israel, Iran is the fountainhead of evil in the region. They sponsor, train, and arm terrorist groups from Hezbollah to the Houtis to Hamas. Frankly, this has been a long time coming. And the combination of circumstances currently make success for the free world more likely.
One can only hope that the Iranian people take the opportunity to rise up and throw off the shackles that restrain them. Get rid of the mullahs and head hackers, embrace democracy, and rejoin the family of free nations.
At the moment, there is only one democratic country in the Middle East. It would be great to make that two...

As soon as you see the words "according to health officials", you can disregard whatever is being claimed as pure propaganda.
It would be very easy for the suffering to end in Gaza. Hamas surrenders and gives back every hostage (alive or dead) to Israel. Do that and the war ends tomorrow. It is up to Hamas to end the suffering of their people, not Israel. I frankly don't know of any other war in human history where the country that was attacked is expected to feed their enemy.

Great work by the IDF! Iran has been goading Israel for years via proxy groups. Well, now they found out what happens when they take it too far. Their military is decapitated and helpless. They shot down exactly NONE of the Israeli aircraft. Iran is an open target and completely vulnerable. Look for Israel to finish the job shortly.
Next, hopefully the Iranian people can trrow off the despotic Mullahs and again become a vibrant democracy. What has happened there in the past 4 decades is shameful.
Let's support the flowering of democray in Iran. It can become the second democratic Middle Eastern state!

Iran declared war on Israel years ago, by using proxy terrorists like Hezbollah and Hamas. The Israelis finally ran out of patience and decided to do something about it. I feel for the people of Iran, they have been labouring under the yoke of an Islamofascist dictatorship for more than 40 years. Perhaps this might give them the impetus needed to rise up and reclaim their country.
At the moment there is only one democracy in the Middle East (Israel). Hopefully soon there will be two.

Mick, if you are correct, that STILL does not justify Hamas raping and murdering innocent civilians. AFAIK, there hasn't been a Jew in Gaza since 2005. They all left, even took the dead bodies out of cemeteries so that the locals wouldn't be offended by their presence.

Gaza says a lot, most of it lies. There is no genocide, except perhaps the genocide that Hamas attempted on October 7. And the one it promises to try again in the future.
It is a strange kind of war where the country that was attacked is expected to provide aid to the people who attacked it. Please explain it to me. Hamas committed mass murder, Gazans cheered, and now both are reaping what they have sown.
If Hamas surrendered, and returned the hostages, the war would be over tomorrow.

Sounds like a good plan. Keeping criminals away from the country is very smart. Might also 'encourage' other illegal immigrants to consider moving back to their homelands.

The crackdown will help shut down the pipeline from central America to the border. It will hurt the cartels who profit from human trafficking. It will save women and girls from being gang raped and assaulted by cartel criminals. There is no downside to getting rid of criminals and gang members who are making the USA less safe.
It is sad and pathetic that local governments will not co-operate in making their communities safer.

The horror the Palestinians endure is the horror of being governed by Hamas. Governed by terrorists who steal relief funds and goods meant to help civilians, and use them to create terror tunnels and rockets.

Hamas has a choice. Release the hostages and some Hamas may be allowed to live, or keep the hostages and all of Hamas will die- along with their supporters and enablers.
Another poster claimed that 70% of the casualties in Gaza were women and children. IF that is true, then praise the IDF. In most wars, the ratio of civilian deaths is much higher. It jus proves how careful Israel has been to keep unnecessary casualties to a minimum.

Now, the pendulum has swing dramatically the other direction and people are not happy. The contrast to the quiet times of 3 years ago is just too much, too fast. Plus it injures the Japanese sense of pride to be a mere "tourist destination"- they would rather be respected for producing high quality goods and so on. There is gonna be a steep learning curve...

UNRWA is just another way to say "terrorism". Their so-called schools teach jihad and anti-semitism from a young age to impressionable children. No wonder Gaza is such a mess. There needs to be a de-islamification program, much like the de-Nazification program in Germany after WW2.

Something people are not thinking about is the Supreme Court. Two of the oldest Justices may be of a mood to retire during the next 4 years. Trump will be able to replace them with younger and more vigorous people, which will ensure the court remains loyal to the constitution for the next 25 years. An added bonus would be Justice Sotomayor needing a replacement, that would be the icing on the cake.
