Hamas has a choice. Release the hostages and some Hamas may be allowed to live, or keep the hostages and all of Hamas will die- along with their supporters and enablers.
Another poster claimed that 70% of the casualties in Gaza were women and children. IF that is true, then praise the IDF. In most wars, the ratio of civilian deaths is much higher. It jus proves how careful Israel has been to keep unnecessary casualties to a minimum.

Oh, a "Venezuelan man" did the crime..... that is all you could find important to say? No other relevant details?
Laken's blood is on Joe and Kamala's hands. This thug had been arrested before, released, given accommodation in a swank NYC hotel, then put on a taxpayer funded flight to Georgia, where he promptly disappeared.
Laken fought for 18 long, agonizing minutes while her head was being split open by a rock and she was being brutalized. Remember her, not this filth.

IMHO the Covid days of very low tourism were a nice respite for a lot of Japanese. Domestic travellers could do their thing and enjoy their own country without hordes of foreign barbarians cluttering up the place. You could actually hear Japanese being spoken in Kyoto!
Now, the pendulum has swing dramatically the other direction and people are not happy. The contrast to the quiet times of 3 years ago is just too much, too fast. Plus it injures the Japanese sense of pride to be a mere "tourist destination"- they would rather be respected for producing high quality goods and so on. There is gonna be a steep learning curve...

UNRWA is just another way to say "terrorism". Their so-called schools teach jihad and anti-semitism from a young age to impressionable children. No wonder Gaza is such a mess. There needs to be a de-islamification program, much like the de-Nazification program in Germany after WW2.

Some good names on that list. Solid, smart, patriotic Americans.
Something people are not thinking about is the Supreme Court. Two of the oldest Justices may be of a mood to retire during the next 4 years. Trump will be able to replace them with younger and more vigorous people, which will ensure the court remains loyal to the constitution for the next 25 years. An added bonus would be Justice Sotomayor needing a replacement, that would be the icing on the cake.

Perhaps the simplest lesson the Democrats should learn (but I hope they don't) is this- don't scold and scorn voters and then ask for their support. Trump, for his faults, is always authentic. He can run his campaign on "I'm Donald Trump". Harris tried to run on "I'm NOT Donald Trump" without providing anything else. And failed.

Now it is up to Europe to solve European problems. I think there are leaders in every capital in Europe spending uncomfortable time in the bathroom, worrying about their collective futures. They will, for once, have to take care of their own security without Uncle Sugar paying the bill. As for Zelensky, he is on a timer. He needs to cut a deal and get that stupid war over with pronto.

Trump for the win. He will revive America's moribund economy and restore pride. Harris is more of the same- overspending by the government and limits on free speech. Plus, I can't see her and her querilous voice facing down Xi or Kim or Putin. They will have a license to thrive under a Harris presidency?

Not to mention the tons of waste generated by their eating, drinking, hotel rooms, etc.
If only...

The Israelis HAD Gaza until 2005. Then voluntarily left. Even dug up cemeteries to remove Jewish bodies, as even having the bodies would be insulting to the Palestinians. Since then, the place has deteriorated into the current state, thanks to Hamas and their brutal combination of terror and theft.

I guess since the whole "Nazi rally" thing didn't stick, the Democrats are moving on to their next pathetic smear. I guess it is inevitable, given that they have no record worth defending and no policies worth explaining.

UNRWA is neck deep in Hamas. There are myriad reports of supposed UNRWA staff actually being members of Hamas, and Hezbollah for that matter. UNRWA let their schools and offices be used by terrorists to store weapons, and be used as launch pads for terrorist attacks. They use hideous Islamic propaganda to brainwash innocent children into becoming the next generation of killers. The sooner the organization is disbanded, the better.

Harris is becoming more and more strident in her rallies. No more talk of what can be, unburdened by what has been. No more joy. Just anger and bitterness. And scolds like Michelle Obama berating Americans for daring to vote against Kamala. Not a winning strategy at all.
At this point in 2020, Joe Biden was up more than 5% in the popular vote, and he barely squeaked out a win. Today, Harris and Trump are tied. And the momentum is all moving towards the GOP. Look for a Trump victory going away.

So...one body was found. In a known gravesite. About 100 metres from one school. Actually, adjacent to a known community cemetery. Is it a native person or not? Hardly the stuff of dark legends.
No doubt that many kids died in the schools, which is a tragedy. At that time, kids died rather frequently compared to today. But no evidence of evil priests secretly burying victims of their crimes has been discovered.

As usual, legal and illegal are conflated. Most Americans have no trouble with properly vetted immigrants, who obey the law and follow the correct procedure to enter the country. But millions of unknown people can only produce anarchy.
The temporory sugar high that some businesses get by exploiting cheap illegal labor is not a benefit in the long term. New York City is now renting 30,000 hotel rooms to house illegal migrants, at a cost of $10 million per DAY. This is not sustainable.
There are plenty of legal residents and citizens to do most jobs. But they do expect to be paid fairly. Let the labor market do the work without being artificially depressed by illegal workers.

True. One of the most important outcomes HAS to be the removal from all positions of power of all terrorists and their supporters. Time to actually Free Palestine. THEN, there can be a lasting peace.

Seems like a lot of 'buyer's remorse' for the democrats. They could have had an open primary. Could have picked a genuine moderate like Josh Shapiro, who would be ahead by 5 points by now. First, the apology. But then will come the unending demand for handouts, compensation, etc. It happened in Canada and for years the demands have been increasing. It grew to the point where an entire national scandal erupted over "unmarked graves" of children allegedly found at various schools. Well, in two plus years of investigation, no evidence has been found.
I hope my American cousins can learn from our mistakes and nip this in the bud.

Harris is losing. And her answer, her final appeal to the voters, amounts to "Orange Man Bad", and "I know rich people". It isn't going to work. I always suspected that her campaign would tank as soon as she had to open her mouth and start talking. Same thing happened in 2020 during the Democratic primaries- she was forced to drop out before even one vote was cast.

Starpunk; Trump started no new wars. Zero. He promoted ME peace via the Abraham Accords. Now I understand you have a strange dislike for him, that is fine. But do try to keep your emotions separate from reality.
NB is correct, the actual genocidal intent in the region is the genocide that the surrounding Arab nations want to commit against Israel. The only democracy in the region. The only country with human rights for all, the only country where LGBT are respected and protected.

NB; that sounds curiously like all the states around Israel. The 22 Arab states are all Jew-free, by design. They abused and hounded their Jewish populations until they all left, to find refuge in Israel. By comparison, Israel treats its Arab citizens as, well, citizens. But also wants to maintain its unique status as the only Jewish country in the world. Compared to 55 Muslim countries, it is a very reasonable request.
The problem lies with the Arab/Muslim nations, who refuse to accept Palestinians as either refugees or asylees or as citizens.

GD; actually, peace started under Trump with the Abraham Accords bringing Israel together with various Arab countries. This infuriated Iran, who could not stand the idea of losing power in the area. So, Iran unleashed their terrorist minions to attack Israel.

Yes, Trump the anti-semite. Brokering peace deals with Israel and the surrounding Arab nations. Having Jewish grandchildren and a Jewish son-in-law. Sure.
As for General Kelly, I respect his service and his loss (his son was killed in action). But, don't forget that the military, at higher ranks, becomes increasingly political. And Trump is no friend of the neo-cons. He favours America protecting America first and not getting involved in myriad bushfire wars around the world. And this does NOT endear him to the military/foreign policy establishment in Washington.
