Just like how Justice Barrett reigned in 47 for the US AID overreach?

Or on February 8, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson—said Section 3 was intended to stop former Confederates from taking state appointments, not the presidency.

So I’m not getting your point.

What legislating has he done?

Rhetorical question???

Yeah and even those conservatives on the Court ain’t buying Trump’s BS arguments that he is above the law.

The swamp never Trump people, the few left, I would agree, not worried about them as they can’t get elected to anything like the Democrats, so…

Pretty sure the founding fathers weren’t fond of wannabe kings either.

No, that’s why the Dems lost, everything, exactly.

Who’d a thunk it, the guy who thinks he is king of America is losing a lot of court cases because America’s constitution doesn’t have kings.

Funny, when Biden was bringing in millions of illegals and in the cover of darkness sending thousands of them to red states, not a peep out of these liberal leftist judges. But anyway, the SC will set these judges straight.

No, he knows that the courts have a duty to uphold the Constitution and hold the executive accountable when it violates it.

Well, the Constitution also says that the President is head of the executive, again, the sitting President, so on that line alone the Judges lost.

This isn’t something new, its how the American system has always worked. “Checks and balances” and all that.

Biden didn’t like when he was checked and balanced by the House for overstepping his constitutional authority by wanting to erase millions in student loan debt. Again, not a word from the left except for the usual Dem support thinking he was right to take such an action unilaterally.

Yes, appealing the case is the proper venue for the executive to challenge a decision it doesn’t like, NOT unilaterally

Like with forgiving student loans to millions?

declaring that it will ignore the courts and waging vendettas against judges.

He won’t, but that doesn’t mean that members of his cabinet would. Either way, these people are leaving at the end of the day.

Lowest level trial court judge appointed by Democrat = worst thing ever.

No, how he legislates from the bench, that's what makes it bad.

Supreme Court stacked with Republican partisans = no problem.

Got it.

No, Constitutionalists, conservatives technically rule based on how the Constitutuin was written in its intended form, liberals view the Constitution as changing and evolving based on the current geopolitical and social environment.

Losing a court case doesn’t mean the US judicial system has been “weaponized”. Wipe your tears, stop clutching your pearls.

Funny, but they seem most extreme when it comes to Trump, 64 of them....if they are not weaponized, then that means AOC is secret Conservatives

These judges are doing their jobs properly.

So is Trump based on what the voters wanted

Crybaby

Given the lefts history with violence and NOT being able to face reality, I would say they are the absolute worst when it comes to restraint.

wannabe kings calling for judges to be removed simply because they don’t rule the way he likes and threatening to ignore the judicial branch of government is what is causing a constitutional crisis.

Interesting, and this judge THINKS that he has the power and the Constitutional authority to override the executive. This case cannot come soon enough before the Supreme Court, that way they can tell these Trump-hating bias Judges that they need to stay in their lane

How are peace in Ukraine and Gaza working out?

Not good, so what will they do about it? Will Hamas put down its weapons, and will Ukraine make a deal with Putin? That's on them. Trump can bring them to the table, but they need to fully commit, it's not a one-sided deal

Too late, China is flying its 6th generation fighter already..

Again, US is behind China..

If it’s so good, why doesn’t China show it to the world? Behind China? Why is it that their planes look so much like ours? Also, their pilots haven’t seen military combat since…..

You’re only as good as you are if you put in the time, sweat and tears.

Another US Boeing overrated flying crap..

The Russians and Chinese don’t seem happy about it.

It will make the ridiculous in front of Russia/China fighters..

A poker face won’t help them.

Remember, all things Trump promotes get sink, like self burning Teslas..

Hardly

Prices and unemployment have skyrocketed since trump took office. The American economy is just the latest trump business failure, and the biggest.

Yes, and those prices will go down in time once the markets have time to re-adjust and the vast majority of cuts are made, so once we are out of the turbulence blue skies will appear libs always think short term, that’s their problem.

Debunked, they absolutely have more than enough egg inspectors in the city of Chicago

Regarding the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA), specific data on the number of inspectors dedicated to egg inspections in Chicago is not readily available. In 2024, the IDOA employed 1,011 individuals across various roles, including meat and poultry inspectors and veterinary consumer safety officers. However, the exact number of inspectors assigned specifically to egg inspections in Chicago is not specified in the available data.

Was any Tesla injured?

Dealership was

On the other hand, the backlash against Tesla is a response to the very lives of Americans being ruined by taking away one of the most, if not the most important, thing in someone's life: the ability to provide for themselves and their families. Millions have illegally lost their jobs. Big difference.

Ok, and breaking down with emotional damage outbursts is going to help? Putting people out of work will help the lefts cause? These workers did nothing, they were only doing their jobs.

Okay. Fine. If you feel that way, that the only here and now matter, then stop bringing up anything that Biden has done or not done. That's in the past.

Not when it comes to the border because that’s the hear and now.

Trump can only drive his recently bought Tesla around the White House gardens. He's not allowed on public highways.

Buying it was more symbolic and a show of unity support, still paid for it in cash, money will go to the company

Yeah, good luck with that.

Posted in: U.S. imports eggs from Korea, Turkey to help ease prices See in context

The only reason why prices for eggs are down is that demand is down. It is basic economics. When demand was high, but the supply was low, the prices went through the roof. People were even selling them on the black market online for outrageous prices. So, people have stopped buying eggs and seeking alternative sources. Heck, some people have even bought their own chickens. So the demand now for eggs are at an all-time low. As a result, prices have gone down to encourage people to buy eggs more. But with Trump taking away jobs from people, is any price for eggs low enough? Without a job, people will not be able to buy any eggs anyway.

You can try and split that hair strand in any direction you like, bottom line, egg prices are going down as well as other products, those are the ONLY things people care about-period

So now if they disagree with the govt you get deported.

Possibility, not likely, but a lengthy prison sentence, that’s a very high possibility

But if you attack Washington and threaten to lynch the VP you get praised.

Threatening and committing an actual physical crime, are two different things.

You couldn't make this up.

I'm sure it will be as great as the F-35! (The F-35 cost over 1 trillion and is garbage).

Funny, if that were true, our adversaries wouldn’t fear it and our allies wouldn’t want it.

As of March 2025, fourteen countries have partnered with the United States in the F-35 Lightning II program. These nations include Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

The United States leads in F-35 deployment, with 553 active aircraft and an additional 1,855 on order. Other notable operators include Australia with 63 active jets and 37 on order, South Korea with 40 active and 25 on order, and Norway with 40 active and 12 on order.

Hardly garbage. Anyway, can’t wait for this new bad boys premiere!!!!

Nobody. Because nobody is advocating for keeping illegal gang members in the country.

Been to California or Denver lately?

What people are advocating for is to make sure people are actually gang members (and not, for example, soccer coaches) before they get deported. Can you comprehend this?

Well, Biden and Myorkas put the nation into this mess, expect mistakes will happen, but that’s not going to deter or slow the mission meanwhile

Posted in: Trump demands courts stop blocking his agenda See in context

Nobody, because that's a dumb and debunked figure.

Like I am going to take the BBC word on that, you are too, too funny.

There was a bipartisan immigration bill ready to be passed last year. Trump killed it

YES

Why does a border-security bill increase green cards? The Lankford bill boosts family-based green cards by 32,000 a year for five years, and employment-based ones by 18,000 a year.

The bill also gives automatic work permits to the relatives of certain temporary workers and others, speeds the issuance of work permits to illegal aliens seeking asylum (thus increasing the incentive to come), and provides taxpayer-funded lawyers to certain illegal aliens, which is currently prohibited by law.

But even worse is the fact that even the actual border provisions reflect the Democrats’ perception of the problem. It’s not that too many foreigners are using asylum claims as a gambit to illegally move here,

And on top of that, it did NOT completely and ultimately seal the border or even send illegal border crossers back. It was a bad deal and thankfully Trump killed or we would have been in an even worse situation.

because he didn't want to "give Biden a win". Trump doesn't care about immigration at all.

He does, that is why Homan, Bondi and ICE are sending them back.

The New York Post is not a valid news source, have some decency.

It is, it is the second most read center-right conservative news source.

"lol". If you really cared about women or children, you wouldn't be a far-right cheerleader.

No, quite the opposite, who was it that lost over 300k children? No Democrat made any mention of it until the right started asking, the left didn't want to touch it because they knew it would have brought attention and scrutiny to what they were doing to the country for the last 4 years, and they avoided that like the Black Death.

https://nypost.com/2024/11/19/us-news/trafficking-expert-recounts-migrant-girls-abuse-under-biden-harris-policies-that-lost-track-of-300k-kids-not-an-isolated-case/

Because the two are by definition antithetical. The only thing you want is less "foreigners" in America.

Illegal, absolutely.

100 years ago my grandparents were disparaged in terms not unlike the current mob of racists speak about Arabs and Hispanics. There were supposedly scientific papers written claiming that southern Europeans had inferior intellects and were more prone to crime. And oh, don't you know that you can never trust a Catholic because they owe their allegiance to the pope and not to the US. And, oh the horror, they drank wine in a time when temperance was the coin of the realm. Horrible people those dark southern Europeans. The US even banned immigration from southern Europe and China, a ban that lasted into the 1960s. So you will just have to deal with the fact that I have nothing but revulsion for the way Hispanics, Arabs and Asians are being treated in the US today. I would rather have a poor immigrant for a neighbor than some strutting born in the US white, cough cough, "christian nationalist". I have a lot more in common with the immigrant. They are the same as my grandparents. My grandfather just arrived here one day. That's how you did it. Once he had residence he went back and got his fiancee, brought her here and married her here. My grandmother never spoke English. Didn't need too in the immigrant community she lived in. Oh the horror. That is the immigrant experience.

Immigrants are great, I have the deepest respect for my grandparents and where they came from, it means so much to them and to me as well to be part of the American fabric, almost ALL Americans just want legal immigration, that's it, there is just no excuse for coming in illegally, and if you are seeking asylum, you have to wait in line, citizenship and obtaining a visa is a privilege and NOT a fundamental right under any circumstances. If you are illegal, you have no rights to be in any country-period.

Posted in: Trump orders plan to dismantle Education Department See in context

71% of DOE's budget goes to grants and loans to college students. I guess you consider that an unnecessary expense.

Which many can’t pay back or even afford, so who pays for it? Biden wanted to erase all student loan debt, typical lib analogy and then where does the debt go? In thin air?

Another 25% goes to "states, localities and tribes for K-12 schools, especially for low-income school districts and for educating students with disabilities." Is that bloat?

Ok, so low income, then why are Blacks at the bottom of the educational ladder? Particularly in Rich states like California and NYC, they have enough money, why are these kids failing? So far NOT Single lib can or will say the obvious. It’s not Trump’s fault of even the Republicans, because both states are Democrat echo chambers. It’s not a ruse, Since 1980 Dems had more than enough time to fix all of these problems and disparities and they didn’t. So on to the chopping block this bloated agency goes.

-8 ( +5 / -13 )

Posted in: Trump orders plan to dismantle Education Department See in context

The right: You must obey. You cannot complain. Free speech exists only insofar as you can attack minorities.

Seems like the DOE did just that.

You may not speak out against your government. Speaking ill of The Leader is a crime. This is only the beginning. You will have no rights. And you will like it. Do not think. Do not think. Do not think.*

Or you could write you local Congressman and make your voice heard or vote Democrat and see if they can make inroads, that would be the best way and only to fight this.

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

Posted in: Trump orders plan to dismantle Education Department See in context

The DOE won't be put in a coffin.

It will or at the very least it will be a former shadow of itself, but it won’t be the bloated disaster it was.

I actually love this reply because it so clearly distills the right-wing world view: "Do not think. Do not form opinions. Do not consider facts. Listen to the leader. Obey the leader. We must do what the fuhrer says. We must be good boys and girls. We must not think. We must not think. We must not think."

Well, you have to obey, once Congress closes it down or massively defund it, again, you can’t complain, but it’s happening it has happened and it’s the beginning of only

-7 ( +5 / -12 )
