Good news.
The JCG is no joke. Navy sailors only undergo 3 months of basic training and 3 more of MOS specific training, Coasties go through a full 16 months of CG Academy.
Their tactical teams are also considered to be equal to or better than the MSDF Special Boarding Teams.
Maybe they can teach the Philippine Coast Guard how not to get their thumbs chopped off and rifles stolen by axe-wielding Chinese maritime militia pirates.

The most direct support I see the US doing is supplying the bunker busters to Israel.
Israel would have to deliver them via their C-130s which are slow and definitely not stealth.
If the nuclear facility is indeed 300m underground, as the media claims. It would take 4 to 6 of even the most powerful bunker busters to destroy it.
Not an easy operation even for B-2s.

Depending on how hot the curry powder is getting a face full of that could be like getting hit with pepper spray or bear spray ! They messed up though and should have used some sort of squire bottle. Good thing these thieves are dumb.
For sure.
Tabasco original blend comes in at about 50,000 scoville units and even a drop of that is quite unpleasant to get in your eyes, but bear spray is as high as 1,000,000 scovilles.
Specially bred Carolina Reapers and Ghost Peppers can be as spicy as 2,200,000 scovilles, and workers need to wear MOPP3 level protective gear when handling them.

Those ordnance handlers usually wear armored suits, which is why they are alive. This is what the US military uses for EOD, Explosive Ordnance Disposal.
This incident happened in a temporary storage facility, where the EOD techs were dismantling and removing rust from the bomb to identify and catalog it.
This EOD team has not had a single accident in 52 years and more than 40,000 UXO disposed of.
I have no doubt they are taking this incident very seriously, even though the Japanese news is reporting the injuries and only burns to the arms and hearing difficulties.

The Japanese news was saying the explosion occurred while they were disassembling the bomb to catalog it.
The fact that they are still fortunately alive probably means that just the primer or fuse explosive was set off, and not the main explosive.

Although their conviction is commendable, it cannot be overlooked that the Jesuits were actively seeking to overthrow the Shogunate to colonize Japan.
Divide and conquer. Spreading Christianity was just part of their plan to eventually usurp the feudal governments.
Behind the scenes, the Jesuits were kidnapping women to sell as exotic slaves, and stealing artworks, and cultural treasures. All the while selling guns to all sides of the Sengoku era civil wars to destabilize Japan.

Here we go, the MIC retirees "rationalizing" continued US military crimes in Japan. I am surprised I had to wait as long as I did.
No one is “rationalizing” crime.
“Rationalizing” crime would be to say something like; “well he was obviously in a hurry, and maybe he had some urgent reason to drive to his destination before sobering up.”
If they are guilty they should be punished fairly by the law.
Assuming all US service members are criminals or potential criminals and treating them as such is the same as assuming all blacks are criminals.

Taking 2023 as a typical sample year, there were 118 criminal cases involving U.S. Forces SOFA status personnel in Japan. That's 118 people out of approximately 102,000 of us in Japan, which is 0.12%. The same year Japan had a criminal arrest rate of 0.22%. So no, it only seems like we're all criminals to people like you whose view of the issue is politically prejudiced and not based on facts.
If you factor in age and sex demographics, (males aged 18 to 45) the criminal rate goes much lower than the civilian average.

I'm curious as to what sort of instruction the military gives members regarding this sort of behavior.
All marines arriving in Okinawa are given a “Welcome Aboard Briefing” that includes orientation classes on local laws and customs, places of interest, and public resources.
Junior enlisted are not allowed off base for the first two weeks of deployment.
Depending on the commander’s discretion, any off base incident may result in a base wide, or regional force wide lockdown. So there is a lot of peer pressure to not be “that guy.”

50 kph is only 30 mph. Why such a low speed limit on a national highway? Ridiculous.
Some sections of highways have separate speed limits due to road conditions. Police often focus their patrols on these sections.
Police in Japan will generally not pursue a suspect any more than twice the speed limit for public safety concerns.
The Toyota Crown police special “top speed” is officially rated at 220km/h. But is probably capable of more, as I’ve seen modders take them as fast as 280.

The soil could have been mixed with the rock wall that was constructed first, before concrete was poured over it. It could also be used in road construction. There are many ways to dispose of it.
Organic soil is not a good foundation for… well, anything.
Soil is prone to erosion and deterioration as it decomposes.
If you want to mix it into the concrete itself, -as many shoddy construction companies do- you can expect a spectacular collapse, like what you see in China, as the organic matter decomposes and leaves voids in the structure.
Not something you want in a sea wall that is supposed to last centuries and protect lives.

One thing I’ve noticed Japanese parents don’t do as much as western parents is indulge in “toxic positivity,” and are more realist in limitations and expectations for their children’s outcome.
IMO, being shielded from negative information and facts is not “happy,” but just ignorant.

It's hard to believe that any unexploded bomb remained intact after detonation of the atomic bomb.
It’s not just bombs. Even anti-aircraft explosive rounds can kill a person at 50 feet.
The proximity fused “magic rounds” were particularly known to dud out.
What makes them particularly dangerous is that it’s mostly impossible to predict where they will be, as they were sprayed wildly at flying aircraft.
