Bottom line will it be less expensive and more convenient than the buses that actually have room for our luggage? We have taken both the subway and train to Haneda which works but if you have 4 large suitcases it can be a bit of a hassle. Just saying.

Thank goodness he was not executed. It is a tragedy he was incarcarated to begin with and the money like many have said can and will never be proper compensation for what was taken from him.

My brother was a police officer and he would always tell me "there are innocent individuals in jail."

Nothing that we do as humans is perfect by any means and this includes the justice system.

I am from the USA and have family in Japan and visit frequently and have never have had a concern for my safety when visiting, this though makes one think even though Japan is much safer one is never removed from unstable people that wish to do harm. We have a saying in the USA “Stay alert stay alive.” I am very glad that this murderer was apprehended and will face the penalty for his crimes. My thoughts go out to the families no parent should have their children harmed and murdered so senselessly.

Japans Dual nationality law should be repealed as it is and rewritten and ratified to allow dual nationality like so many other countries.

No doubt there are many Japanese nationals that already have unapproved dual citizenship but because they’re Japanese, the government looks the other way don’t ask don’t tell that’s the policy now and to be honest so be it until the law is changed to allow dual citizenship.

On top of that, not allowing it is definitely not going help stop the population decline. If anything it’s going to increase its decline. Japan needs to get back on track and the only way to do that is for it to start increasing its population.

I was not impressed by the movie. I don’t think it portrayed things the way it should. I wish there was more of a technical aspect to the movie as to the physics and the effects of ionizing radiation which there was not. And at the Oscars, they should’ve had a memorial piece for those that suffered the effects of the worlds first use of atomic weapons on humans.

I don’t think they’re electric on the boom, I see a hydraulic cylinder. They should’ve at least had bags covering the boom in case there was a drip or two hydraulic fluid. Those linkages need to be greased so grease or dirt could’ve fallen into the soup, not a very hygienic set up except for the stainless steel attachments.

In the USA reservations must be made in advance to visit many popular National Parks same should be done for Mount Fuji.

I am quite certain that China has performed worse as far as introducing pollutants into our environment radioactive or otherwise. With Fukushima, the methodology used is scientifically based, and we’re only talking about tritium not things like cesium or polonium since these isotopes are removed, using conventional means such as mechanical filtering and ion exchange resin. The Chinese communist party, on the other hand when faced with the same issue, probably would forgo any other isotope removal and just discharge the water. This is the stark reality and of course they’re not going to publicize any of it. The Chinese communist party does what they please with no regard for even their own population.

Bottom line it shows the movie studios will go to any length for marketing their movies to increase profits.

In my opinion this particular decision shows an unacceptable lack of respect for those who perished in Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombs and the many more who perished afterwards in horrific suffering.

The focus should be on the solider and his family for in war the soldier is simply one of the tools used by it's military, following orders and sometimes dying while doing so, this does not necessarily make the solider evil or less deserving of respect for his/her service no matter the side. There are may stories of good soldiers on both sides that acted with chivalry while they were still at war with each other and many more stories after the war of forgiveness.

People need to understand it’s the ensign of the JMSDF. Controversy aside Japan should be proud of its self defense forces and support them especially now.

Nowhere in the article do I see what the measured background level of radiation is. If I were going to move there I would want the background radiation level to be the same or lower than my current home. Folks need to be informed. Radiation is naturally in our environment in my current home in the USA it is about 30-40 CPM. The disaster at the Fukushima Daichi plant released radiological contamination if this contamination is still in the environment causing a higher background level in radiation people need to know the data in order to make an informed decision. I would also have a survey done on my own to verify such readings keeping with the practice of, "Trust by Verify."

Tools, gotta have them wether you're building a home or in defense protecting it from oppressors like the Chinese Communist Party. So unless those businesses start caring about the freedoms they have in a manner similar to their profits they will risk losing both.

If Japan wants the Kuriles back I say that they should take them back it is within their right the only down side is the war of public opinion and the possible real war that may occur. Otherwise Japan will never get them back especially through diplomatic means the Russians can never be trusted period!

Yes sir I do realize these facts. The nuclear plants in Japan are as I understand it not built to the same standards as those in the USA. I have also read some of the reports on the Fukashima event and it was a unbelievable catastrophe that had proper upgrades which were in the plan but unfortunately way too late been implemented the loss of power to critical plant equipment and meltdowns may have had a much better chance of being prevented altogether. TEPCO was negligent in operating, maintaining and upgrading the plants. One of these reports is in the link below a good read and mush of what you have stated is in these reports I can only hope that TEPCO and the other operator head the lessons learned so as to prevent any such disaster from occurring again.

I can also tell you from both personal experience and industry statistics that in the USA, I can't speak for Japan, that the safety factor in nuclear plants far exceeds that of fossil/non nuclear plants and this is the primary reason that accidents are extremely rare events.

As a former Nuclear Plant worker and for the last 39 years working in my utilities Power Generation Fossil plants mainly Combustion Turbine Combined Cycle natural gas fired ones, Nuclear Power is the best solution for reducing CO2 and NOX Emissions and for Japan also the most economic one. One interesting fact many are not aware of is that a coal plant emits more radioactive material into the environment than a nuclear power plant. Hopefully the end of the VISA requirement as well, makes sense if your not going to limit the number of travelers entering then the VISA requirement should be lifted as well since the requirement it's self is a limiting factor for travelers.

Keeping the elderly healthy, safe, comfortable and pain free should be the focus and compared the the USA Japan does a much better job at it in my opinion.

As countries like Japan and the USA spend billions of dollars helping others throughout the world I can only help to think our priorities are skewed and much of that money would be better spent taking care of its own citizens. Just my thoughts.

The big question here is, is Japan ready to take on China if they invade Taiwan by themselves? Having the USA in your corner in my humble opinion is insurance.

With Russia flexing their muscles in Ukraine and the Chinese Communist Party with Taiwan all you have to do is look at CCP’s actions in Hong Kong and see what their desires are. The CCP’s oppression needs to be stopped question is can it be and if it can how?
