Posted in: The world may be rethinking the American dream See in context

Early clues across industries — like tourism, trade, entertainment and education — suggest the American dream is fading for foreigners who have historically flooded to the U.S.

It's still a country many people will aspire to visit, work in, live in.

This period of inmmense stupidity and incompetence will (hopefully) soon pass.

In the meantime it is reasonably good entertainment watching it from afar.

Trump's not breaking laws,

You really aren’t sharp enough to grasp that Trump doesn’t get to decide the law just because lots of people who also don’t know the law voted for him to break the law.

But if you spam it enough then maybe = you coping with it.

Thankfully, at least this court backed off

But nobody voted for that judge either.

Did you think that Trump is allowed to break the law because you voted for him to break the law?

Are you intending to be as thick on this short lived account as all of your other short lived accounts?

Take your pick folks. Somewhere amongst it all is the truth.

The Boca v Benfica game was great. It's the first time I've ever watched a Boca game, the team, the fans were mad and mental. It felt like an important game rather than a pre season warmup. Benfica were up for it too, great stuff.

The South Americans are really into this tournament.

The stadiums are near empty of fans.

The Chelsea game was. The other games have looked pretty well attended.

Two Kremlin coping methods in once sentence. Bravo!

Your pathetic 'If Israel isn't bad then neither is Russia!' angle of cope isn't working.

Who’s doing the gig?

I'm really looking forward to it, it should be quite a spectacle.

A draft-dodger pretending to be a military commander using other people's money to pay for his birthday party whilst simultaneously throwing thousands of them out of work / out of the country for being the wrong colour / gender.

Golden Age etc.

Another check on Trump's Wannabee Dictator bucket list.

Seems like MAGA doesn't want to save taxpayers money on wasteful things when it's his birthday.

Can't wait to see the submarines being dragged through the streets.

Yeah that would be dumb when Trump and the USA can beat all of them even if they group together.

That's worked really well on Putin, Zelensky, Xi, Bibbi, Panama, Greenland, Canada, Mexico, Hacktivist Judges and the people of LA hasn't it?

Maybe you need a buffer, faker Trump avatar.

This was a reply to a previous post doing exactly that - linking this attack to US domestic politics which are irrelevant. If you read it again you might comprehend.

Did you develop chronic hypocrisy between those two posts?

If I'm to comprehend then you might want to clarify its onset.

Is there anything else inconvenient that you don't want us to talk about on a public forum?

Can people stop linking this attack to US domestic politics and the Dems vs Reps bs for once? It has nothing to do with it.

And yet you wrote this less than an hour ago

You maybe right but the Biden / Harris alternative would be just as useless if not more on this.

So, after you.

I don’t know why Israel thinks they are justified to commit war crimes.

Because Trump pulled America out of a deal that would have eliminated the threat that Israel perceives Iran poses.

If you want to know who caused this, I present to you Donald J Trump. And he did it because Obama told nasty jokes about him at dinner.

This is a yet another interesting double standard from the usual hypocrites.

If you are thinking that this war is going to make Russia's 'cute' invasion any more positively viewed then you are going to have to invent a whole new coping angle to deal with it not being. Ever.

Watch.

Japanese bentos are fantastic. I used to order Norikara bentos for my customers, but the price went up from 700 yen to nearly 1000. They are a hearty feast and still good value at that price.

I found a retired local lady who makes the most exquisite and and delicious bentos for a few hundred yen more. Seasonal and imaginative ingredients. And she delivers them to the trailhead.

So I suppose I'm part of the blame for shops closing.

He's been here since he was 8. He's a Japanese citizen. It is his native country.

Japan should know who is in their country

They do. He is a Japanese citizen.

and people should get upset if they are stopped especially if you have nothing to hide.

Nonsensical, illogical, and now just plain ridiculous.

It never is not ridiculous reading about this stunning piece of kleptocracy.

and to pour as much as $45 million into a parade recently added to the Army's 250th birthday bash, which coincides with Trump's birthday Saturday.

Imagine sacking thousands of people to save money and then using $45 million of their money for your own birthday party. And then imagine them letting you.

America is in such a shockingly rapid decline.

Posted in: Autocrats don’t act like Hitler or Stalin anymore − instead of governing with violence, they use manipulation See in context

The democrats always twist the narrative.

I remember when the Democrat candidate tried to claim that immigrants were eating cats and dogs and geese, after claiming that they lost an election that they actually won.

They also wrongfully pointed out that unneducated immigrants commit far less crime than the incredibly well educated MAGA people who rightly tried to kill people on Jan 6th a few years back.

Democrats also don't believe in law and order, which is why they pardoned all them people who killed people on that Jan 6th thing and then elected a convicted criminal, fraudster and self-confessed sexual predator.

Posted in: There is a serious labor shortage, mainly in the transportation and nursing care sectors. To maintain Japan’s society and economy, we need to have a perspective on how Japanese and foreign workers can coexist in harmony. See in context

Just open the borders already. Stop debating and do it.

Japan will not do this. They consider their culture unique and have historically been very reluctant to accept foreign peoples.

They have always chosen very carefully what bits of us they want to incorporate into their culture. They won't be handing out millions of green cards anytime soon.

Japan should've seen this coming decades ago. instead choosing to maintain this archaic xenophobic nonsense about Japanese identity. Guess what? nobody cares anymore.

The Japanese people do. They really do, perhaps more than any nation on earth. I actually believe that they would rather be poorer than accept millions of foreign workers.

Remember that they essentially closed the country to us for over 250 years. Their society wouldn't tolerate millions of immigrants. They can barely tolerate millions of tourists.

Meanwhile they chant "death to America" and step all over the flag. You cannot make this up, they should be banned for the safety of the country.

Perhaps America should stop giving them so many reasons to hate them for a few years.

Maybe even give them an incentive to like them?

They could be a useful ally.

A productive year or so for Elon.

The people who wanted to buy your cars hate you and the people who hated your cars but you paid to like you now also hate you. As does the man who you helped to elect at enormous expense and can make life very difficult for you.

He is also looking pretty rough compared to a year ago and his drug issues are making him a corporate liability.

I used to quite like the guy, but he clearly has problems and needs help.

Seems that you don't like to be reminded about how you are all for Trump-sponsored Jan 6th style right wing election denying violence. You encouraged it, excused it, then cheered the pardons.

So don't bother trying to preach any moral authority. You have even less of that than you have credibility.

Trump commented on developments Friday to reporters. He said he "didn't like" the attacks on Moscow's bomber fleet.

He called the operation, "badass" and "strong".

Putin doesn't have the cards to do that. All of his cards are currently in play. The only one he has is, "Stop fighting back or it will be nuclear war for all of us.". He doesn't have a special war box labelled "Ooh, now we are really going to start properly invading."
