The article doesn't mention what type of smartphone, which leads me to believe he may have been coerced by malware on a foreign brand smartphone. Japanese smartphones make sounds so people can't do this behavior without being noticed. I don't think foreign phones do this because it is not a problem outside of Japan.

I saw about this but they seem to only be for 1 person. If I were to use this I would like 2 seats for myself and my partner or son.

Streaming is used much more to say it was doing the video than looking at it, also in Japanese says 動画配信中 which is again used when producing the content.
