Posted in: Toyota chairman's pay hits record ¥1.9 billion despite scandals See in context

I know a few people who work for Toyota and its suppliers who are employed on short-term contracts who make around 180,000 a month net.

If they're so valuable and skilled to be worth paying more, they're free to find out other employers then, aren't they? The market is very good right now for skilled workers.

I don't care what a CEO makes as long the workers are being paid well. Are they being paid well?

LOL, FIY, Toyota pays probably the best out of all large and stable companies in Japan. Their nominal employee annual bonuses were making news headlines not so far back. And their unions do really well in negotiating fair conditions for the company and employees.

Never negotiate with idiots, never allow them to force your hand. The US needs Japan more than Japan needing the UD.

"Stable ties" - until it makes sense to destabilized them from the Korean side, just to divert the SK public's attentions from the highly corrupt and questionable political activities going on over there. This is a very obvious pattern over the past two-three decades, visible will all their corrupt presidents. So yeah, nobody believes you at this point. Initiating a "Hate-Japan" movement was always the easy way out for the leaders over there, buying them time and even votes.

Option 1: a nuclear armed Iran

Option 2: a non nuclear armed Iran.

You got to be a complete Islamist cretin, of those who believe women have less rights than camels (the reality in many middle East countries), to support option 1.

Myself, I'll take option 2 and can live knowing there have been collateral damages any day. I feel really sad about the killed kids, but what kind of country and millenar "civilization" uses their own children as human shields for their nuclear weapons development program? A cowardly one.

Japanese roads suffer badly from a lack of standardized highway entry methods and infrastructure (Anyone driving on a German Autobahn will know what I mean). That leads directly to increased risks of confusion for the drivers (who ALWAYS get the blame).

Posted in: Toyota proposes selling U.S. cars in Japan to support tariff talks See in context

For those who don't know, Toyota supported selling VW cars in the past. Even now, there are many VW dealers placed right next to Toyota ones for this very reason, across Japan. It's a win-win situation in most cases and a very smart, confident move from Toyota.

You dress for the occasion, not for the age. She's appropriately dressed for the extremely solemn ceremony taking place there. Mr. Kipling - you would have been the first to also complain if she would be wearing colorful, inappropriately happy clothing. Says more about you than about her or what she's wearing. Think about it.

No, there is nothing special about this kid, that would deserve the coverage she currently gets. Just pure, influencer-based marketing on nothing. And it's not revolutionary - until I see foetuses sharing their vision straight from the womb I'm not impressed.

Wake up, go to a real art museum and re-learn what real art looks like. And no most modern "art" doesn't qualify as such.

Trump, in his cretin hallucinations, even tried taxing mobile phones and electronics - like US would even have any idea how to make those. I guess he got quickly bitch-slapped some sense in him, and that's what made him drop the taxes on those.
