You are aware that Hindu PM Indira Ghandi
It's Gandhi, not Ghandi. Can't even get the spelling correct but that is still not the worst mistake in your comment.
ordered the destruction of the sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar
LOL. Indira Gandhi ordered the army into the Golden Temple to flush out Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, a Khalistani terrorist hiding in the temple.
Golden temple still stands and countless Hindus visit the shrine to pay their respects.
There are not that many Khalistanis in India today because Indian Sikhs have mostly forgotten and moved on from those days. The Khalistanis who still dream of their separate Sikh homeland are hiding in Brampton, Surrey, Abbotsford, Burnaby, Mississauga, Richmond and Delta.
Canada should honor their feelings and provide a separate Sikh nation to them on Canadian territory. The few American Sikhs who also dream of a Sikh state can go and join them. Though considering that Canada has still not recognized the genuine aspirations of French speakers in Quebec and given them their independence, I doubt the Canadian government which normally considers itself a champion of liberalism will be too kind to that idea.

In any case, it's pretty rich of an American liberal to point fingers at India without knowing a thing about Indian culture and politics when it's quite clear that the US has it's own issues regarding minorities.

Not even the mainstream Hindu Indians in India are very sympathetic towards the Sikhs.
Yet another comment stemming out of ignorance.
Sikhs are considered a model minority by Hindus. Sikhism is a martial religion which was founded to protect Hindus from Islamic invaders, and most of the Hindus have no qualms in visiting the holiest Sikh shrines in India on pilgrimage.
India's previous Prime Minister was a Sikh, and Sikhs have reached top positions in India without relying on affirmative action.
Sikhs in the US have faced constant discrimination and backlash because they are mistaken for Muslims, and mainstream Americans (even those who claim to be liberal) have made no effort to understand the differences between Sikhs and Muslims.

In India cricket matches never get delayed because of traffic, in fact the traffic will be stopped to allow cricketers to reach the stadium on time.

Canada accused India of violating their sovereignty but I guess they have bigger problems on their hands now. India was a soft target wasn't it.
Carney has tried to create distance from the previous Liberal regime. Former foreign minister Melanie Joly has been moved to industry minister, with Anita Anand replacing her.
This is somewhat promising because Anita Anand agrees with India's stance on Khalistanis hiding in Canada. Looks like Carney understands that Canada is having problems with 3 big countries - US, China and India at the same time so they need a reset in relations with India at least.

Posted in: Fragile ceasefire holds between India, Pakistan as Trump offers more help See in context
India has always treated Kashmir as a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan whereas Pakistan has sought to internationalise it with exaggerated rhetoric of human rights violations, while glossing over it's own treatment of ethnic and religious minorities.
This strategy worked as long as the US was fond of Pakistan for it's role in the fight against Communism during the Cold War, and for the war in Afghanistan. But even when Pakistan's duplicity became clear to the US, it's the progressives among the Democrats who keep on raking up the Kashmir issue internationally, egged on by Pakistani-Americans and supported by other American Muslims.
Trump wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize and Pakistan has recently credited the Trump administration with working out a ceasefire. But Trump being the businessman he is should be aware which country to choose between India and Pakistan.

turkey will support Pakistan
Turkey will support Pakistan because it's a fellow Muslim nation, just like it supports Azerbaijan. No other reason.
India will support Greece and Armenia in that case. Oh, it's doing that already.
And further, India has friendly ties with many Muslim nations inspite of the BJPs rhetoric against Muslims (which I dont agree with BTW) which is more for domestic politics. Most Gulf nations as well as Iran are neutral between India and Pakistan.

Geography is Pakistan's curse.
Pakistan's major population centers are a few hundred kms from the Indian border, whereas the major Indian population centers are spread out.
Pakistan will indulge in nuclear saber rattling whenever they get spooked. India survived and bounced back after 4-5 million people died during COVID, so it will survive a nuclear attack for sure.

More MAGA nonsense
Trump stopped military aid to Pakistan during his first term and Biden resumed it. Those are the facts.
Pakistan's military has been willing to carry out the dirty work of US and UK for decades. That's why the previous US administrations preferred Pakistan's military in power, also the reason why they supported the ouster of Imran Khan, a democratically elected leader whose politics thrived on the anti-American sentiment in Pakistan.
Dirty work including supplying arms to Ukraine.
https://theintercept.com/2023/09/17/pakistan-ukraine-arms-imf/
As to why the Biden administration needed Pakistan to supply arms to Ukraine when it was doing it itself is a matter of conjecture. It could be that the US did not want to be seen as encouraging the proliferation of certain things like say, chemical weapons but as I said it's all conjecture.
