The judge should have stated that it had to be paid before the end of the day or at least within 48 hours. Knowing how Japan works he’ll be lucky to get the money before he dies. That’s before even mentioning that ¥12,500 per day is nowhere near enough.

He’s probably spent the last 50 odd years beating her, poor woman. Lock him up for the rest of his life.

‘Arrested over pigeon killing’….i would have thought the abuse/torture would be against the law but not the actual killing?! My neighbour used to kill his chickens (and eat them) regularly & never got into trouble.

Nothing to do with the amount humans are taking?! Nothing to do with the fact humans kill the fish, take the eggs and bin the rest? Have they worked out that by eating the eggs every year it means less eggs are going back into the rivers?

As reported elsewhere, she has had heart problems for years & that gave complications with the pneumonia.

It should be doubled and paid immediately, he shouldn’t have to claim a penny….it should be paid without question.

This tells you all you need to know about the company. The MEDIA reports are the problem, not what any member of staff has done. The fact the story has got is the problem for them, not the fact that there are ‘sexual misconduct allegations’ being investigated.

Thats what the Chinese government want. I used to live in China, anyone watching the state run TV (everyone) is taught to dislike Japan at every given opportunity.

In our (families) experience it has been nowhere near as bad as flu. My daughter and father in law were both taken to hospital in an ambulance with the flu years ago, none of us (including 85yo father in law) took medicine once for corona although I appreciate it effects everyone differently.

Some of the comments are amazing. I used to live/work in China. Amazing place & amazing food….beautiful wildlife & scenery. The locals were extremely kind, twice I was taken from a supermarket to someone’s home by someone I’d never met just because they wanted me to try their ‘home made cooking’….take people as you find them.

Maybe the government should stop using tax payers money to buy up all the rice at the end of the season (and store it in warehouses) with the sole purpose to keep the price high and keep the rice growers in business?!

Japan loves requiring people to have a licence for all sorts yet anybody could walk a pit bull around the streets, have it bite someone and then face hardly any punishment.

The ‘passerby’ needs a pat on the back or even a reward from the local authorities. Plenty of people would have walked on by….

It appears that the footage will be used ‘to provide evidence in cases of traffic violations’…..so it won’t be used against the police if they break the laws, in that case the footage will conveniently disappear after a week.

Wearing a life jacket and wearing one that is fastened properly between your legs are two completely different things.

I’m glad they’re safe but you could have hired a private jet and flown them back to Japan (rather than Jordan where they’ve been taken) for less than the cost of the fuel to get 2 C-2’s to Jordan.

That was well worth sending two C-2’s to pick up 11 Japanese nationals, Excellent use of tax payers money.

They’re milking this aren’t they. Obviously a heinous crime but the boy was living in China with his Chinese mother & Japan doesn’t recognise dual nationality.

Having studied the impact of these horrible things on birds over the years I really hope Japan doesn’t build even one more of them. Larger birds like eagles just get sliced in half while flying past….

No info about the father & what he was up to at the time?!…assuming the children all had the same father it’s a bit strange that he’s not appealing for help to find his children’s killer, if he’s still alive of course.

They don’t have air con or heating at most of the prisons in Japan, he can argue with & punch the wall when he doesn’t like the room temp. He should have the rest of his life in prison & can argue with the wall every day.

My 85yo father in law will be ‘off to look at the river’ when it hits our area, that’s what he does every year.

‘In the past have come in pairs’….and those pairs have, at times been 2 years apart. If this warning (not based on any real science) was really necessary then shouldn’t it last for at least another 2 years to cover the ‘pair’ criteria?!
