"our great American Warriors."

Did those aircraft get fired on or even targeted by AA guns or missiles or did those great warriors just fly their aircraft on a preprogrammed course and drop some bombs at a preprogrammed height and location and then just turn around and fly back, or to some other safe haven? Great warriors indeed.

When I was a kid we used to eat slices of raw tomato dipped in sugar; don't knock it until you've tried it. Another favourite is a 50/50 mix of tomato juice and orange juice; try it.

For those of you who are unaware, renewing a driving licence when over 75 requires passing a dementia test, driving test, eye test including peripheral vision check and a safety lecture. If passed then the new licence is valid for 3 years.

Tell that to my Tokyo ward office, which issues smog alerts on the hottest days, shutting down outdoor swimming pools and telling residents to stay indoors.

Tokyo is not Japan, it's one tiny part of it and yes, has some smog occasionally but it's somewhat localised. I lived in Tokyo for 18 years.

Really? Man, that's twisted, you should get some help for that.

The light is more diffused or softer here than in many other countries. Could be photochemical smog or the humidity.

That is purely in your imagination. Japan is not known for its "photochemical smog" and other far more humid countries still require the wearing of sunglasses in bright sunlight. Maybe you haven't travelled much outside of Canada and Japan?

Like the old saying goes:

The difference between knowledge and wisdom is knowing that tomato is a fruit but it is unwise to use it in a fruit salad.

Passenger fury at train delay chaos

This kind of fury? :-

"I felt really anxious thinking about whether the air conditioner would stop," said a woman

(photo) Yuck. Please keep your trains clean, Japan.

Shinkansen trains are spotless inside and out, a minimum of research will tell you why the roofs look like that.

So, you're suggesting that only a privilege few can have nuclear weapons? How to you determine that? And why would any one particular group get to decide who can have what?

Says someone who has obviously never worked with, held conversations with religious fundamentalist Iranians. They care nothing for anyone except themselves and would drop a nuke on you without giving it a second thought. They are not fit to have these weapons as they would use them in the name of their religion and not care about anything or anyone else. They must NEVER have nuclear weapons.

Trump yesterday:

Take a look outside and see all those vehicles driving around with their licence plates in clear view. A licence plate is hardly top secret and in this case I imagine the owner's permission was sought. If however a crime is involved and there is a chance of someone being misidentified then the plates are usually blurred.

People of US remember September 11th well, thus understandable they want POTUS to take border security and terrorism seriously, including people of Colorado

Hopefully a lot more seriously than the government (was it red or blue?) of the day did when allowing those Saudis in to learn how to fly passenger jets but having no interest in learning how to land them.
