Posted in: Robots run out of energy long before they run out of work to do See in context
The key point is "energy density".
And energy density, rather the lack of it, is why electric vehicles failed to begin with, and why ICE-powered cars became ubiquitous.
And today, energy density is still the reason ICE-vehicles are the most effective and efficient choice. The battery technology has obviously improved very significantly but it is still inferior to the ICE technology.
It's a matter of chemistry and physics, not emotions or virtue-signaling.

Employment in the federal government fell by 22,000 in May and is down 59,000 since January.
The private sector added 140,000 jobs, more than the 120,000 forecast. The services sector expanded by 145,000 jobs while the good producing side of the economy contracted by 5,000.
In other words, actual working people increased while those in non-competitive government jobs decreased. Winning!

To be very honest, NONE of the parties present any good ideas to make real improvements for the Japanese. This is the root cause voter apathy!
What Japan so desperately needs are leaders with a good, clear vision for the successful future of the nation. Instead, all there is are quasi-socialists and neo-communists.

Too bad there are no Drive-in theaters anymore to showcase such climate doom films as "Day After Tomorrow". That one is mildly entertaining as a B-- flick.

Of course, the thing they COULD do to actually help the citizenry is the direct antithesis to anything they WILL do. If fact, I wouldn't be shocked if they insisted on handing out some helicopter money from one hand while increasing taxes to "compensate" from the other hand.
As a wise person once said, "The problem with socialism (part of which is the social handout programs) is that eventually you run out of other people's money."
And the willy-nilly currency printing practices (not just literal printing) which the J-Gov is addicted to only exacerbate the ballooning national debt.
Fools, all of them!

"Global Warming" is the lazy way to address the real cause of changes in MICROclimate, which is largely an effect of hyper-urbanization and the accompanying drastic reductions of natural "green" (undeveloped) areas.
The well-documented "Heat Island Effect" very clearly illustrates the result of hyper-urbanization. But it's intellectually lazy and dishonest to blame "increased CO2" as the driver forcing such changes.
Maybe the school summer sports should just be canceled immediately rather than waiting several decades.

The reality of the "Police Action" in Vietnam from the American (and thus Hollywood) perspective is nearly exclusively male. How many females were drafted/sent to the war zone?
So, quite rationally the female representation is limited. In the long version of "Apocalypse NOW", there's also the visit to a French colonists' compound which includes a female role.
It's intellectually lazy to bemoan the perceived "inequality" as is trendy of late.

IF the J-govt were actually interested in improving the quality of life for the citizenry (they clearly are NOT!), then they would REDUCE THE TAXES, a direct benefit to the people. The consumers have had to reduce spending (including domestic travel) due to prices & TAXES outstripping disposable income. Lower consumption taxes spurs spending and economic growth, but the meatheads in charge of govt can't/won't grasp that common sense concept.
