Japan will have an even harder time attracting workers and capital if the consensus view is it's too risky due to legacy nuclear reactors vs. modern safe nuclear tech.
Furthermore, the people living in Japan will feel added stress and a greater lack of confidence in the future as well = never a good outcome for society.
Sometimes, like now, major policy shifts needed when failed polices become "too costly" and "too risky".

Honda's a PERFECT example of a company, that uses LOTS of Steel, that just moved a planned massive auto plant to the US from Mexico. About 10 automakers have announced similar plans already since DJT's election.

Nippon Steel will likely soon invest in US if truly interested in future profits and shareholder returns.
Many companies pouring capital into the US, record private sector inflows, due to DJT policy to 're-industrialize' the US and the usage of "reciprocal" tariffs. Especially auto, steel, aluminum, chip, pharma, etc.
Companies doing so will receive huge tax benefits and never have to worry about tariffs.
DJT was elected in part to create jobs and re-industrialize the US with efficient private capital taking risk, NOT Govt wasteful capital and ensure fair trade access to other markets thru the use of reciprocal tariffs.

Give Trump enough of a personal kickback and the wheels will be sufficiently greased.
That's the difference, DJT and his cabinet don't want or need $money, hence change in economic policy to re-industrialize, reciprocal tariffs and DOGE to name a few.
DJT's cleaning up the US Govt., making it efficient and well run like a business, meaning private sector led investing in America, especially industrial and manufacturing led, like steel, auto, chips, pharma etc.

What DJT's likely telling Nippon Steel and ALL foreign executives is besides no tariffs, 15% corp. tax rate, lower energy costs, zero sea-based shipping costs, "re-shore to the US and I will Expedite all regulatory steps, greatly speeding up your investment's path to profitability".
Nippon Steel if serious about US market will $invest, as they're competitors are doing so already.

Easy to do joint ventures to speed up hiring and training, Nippon will do so quite possibly with US Steel.
Plants can be built very rapidly, giant data centers now built in a matter of a few months, example, X.AI in Tennesse, world's largest compute in just 4+ months

My prediction, Nippon Steel will announce major new US investments in order to re-shore their production to US.
Thus gain 15% Corp. Tax Rate, far lower energy costs, eliminate cost of trans-Pacific shipping and ZERO tariffs!

Due to DJT economic policy, US Re-Industrial Rennaissance is happening. Companies from all industries both inside and outside the US busy announcing new manufacturing, mining and production.
Especially, steel, aluminum, auto, chip and pharma production reshoring ASAP to US, DJT just announced giant planned US production of 48 giant icebreakers!
US Voters approve of DJT economic policies, confidence in direction of US is HIGHEST it's been in decades, after being at or near LOWEST in History under Biden Admin.

Besides these reactors being very old and therefore far less safe than when originally built, the legacy technology itself is even more dated and dangerous.
Japan cannot afford another Fukushima Daiichi meltdown. Far safer nuclear tech. exists that operates at far lower temperatures, making meltdowns impossible.
Decommissioning for $DECADES, Environmentally Risky, and thus such legacy reactors were never economically actually justifiable, unlike modern small modular reactors

DJT frequently talks about how EU's essentially shutting out US producers, due to high tariff and non- tariff policies. It's a been a long-term trade deficit, he uses the term "over 300 $billion or 350 $billion in 2024"
Whatever the amount, it's not Fair in DJT's view and so reciprocal tariffs will go into effect, to include non-tariff costs and barriers like the VAT tax etc.
Plus, due to DJT Policy to Re-Industrialize, tariffs, starting at 25% and likely higher in near term, will go into effect regarding, steel, aluminum, pharma, chips and autos to encourage reshoring production to US.
US workers, especially working class, union and middle class all voted for DJT in large part due to his trade agenda of reciprocity and re-industrialization described above = nobody should be surprised at DJT's US Trade Policy, especially the citizens of Denmark

JT readers should understand that Russia/Putin deem it's "Security Operation" fundamentally as assisting people in Ukraine, Russian speaking former Ukrainians, involved in a longstanding civil war starting in 2014 due to their human, property and voting rights being taken away.
Putin also deems it Legal Assistance per UN charter.
Above, not the "Invasion" Kiev/Zelenskyy narrative and WHY this is a Complicated War and Peace Process
Let's hope someone like DJT, who's independent, can find a workable compromise to restore stability and prosperity to Ukraine and thus the broader world.

Seems both Poland and Hungary also want a "piece" of Ukraine, based on their historical claims. The peace process will be indeed complex to 'codify', but far harder to do so if the bullets are still flying, so a cease-fire that's not a 'backdoor' NATO escalation is a must.

For DJT, like election lawfare, it's a legal fight he's happy to have because vast majority of Americans want these 'Designated' Terrorists Deported ASAP.

No doubt the US the 'ultimate pot-stirrer' globally, but that's being dialed-back now under DJT, as he's VERY tired of failed US interference abroad that just feeds the military industrial complex and the globalists.
Umm, what planet are you on?
He bombed Yemen yesterday, has threatened Greenland, Iran and Panama with force, wants to annex Canada, ethnically cleanse Gaza, is supplying Israel with masses of weapons and wants a slice of Ukraine. The only people Krasnov isn't threatening is Russia it seems.
Whatever is making him VERY tired isn't interference, globalists or any of your other dull MAGA cliches.
DJT's worried about taking care of the US 'backyard' and stabilizing Middle East and Ukraine problems he inherited, certainly not starting new wars with WWIII potential
