This is from Polifact.
Memos by the Office of the Solicitor General in 1929 and the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel in 2005 also say a president’s hand signature is not required.
There is no constitutional mechanism for overturning pardons, and an 1869 judicial ruling found that once delivered, a pardon is final.

So the president needs to be at the White House in order to execute his powers? Yeah, nice mental gymnastics there….
“Blacklabel
Going to be great to hear from the court about this “auto pen” legality for pardons when Biden wasn’t even at the White House.”

So if any law was signed by an autopen, it is eligible for annulment. This could allow Trump and his ilk to go through reams of passed laws eliminating all sorts of "impediments" to them seizing more powers.

Posted in: Do you consider the U.S. firebombing of Tokyo on March 9-10, 1945, to be a war crime? See in context
We've come a long way in terms of how humans conduct war. 80 years ago and in previous wars, civilians were seen as targets. This is humanity's history, that civilians suffered being bombed and shot at along with the troops.
Have we evolved out of this?
We'll probably all be finding out the answer to that questions fairly soon.

War was conducted very differently up until the end of the Vietnam war. Civilians were considered targets: Germany bombed London not for it's military capabilities, but to weaken the resolve of the civilians, etc.
The viewing of the past with the values of today is called presentism and assumes that today's values, methods and morals with regards to the conduct of war should have or existed in history.
Can't say that humanity isn't (won't) back-sliding into the civilians as targets mentality, but looking at "then" cannot be done without understanding that "then" was a different time in humanity's social evolution.

If AI has many problems getting peoples hands rendered properly, you can imagine how awful it will be at parsing out subtleties and nuances of the language. So many people have been banned or had their accounts restricted from various online social media sites due to a bot not understanding what was meant and taking terms too literally.

And what are the prospects of that gem of an idea?

For LDL-cholesterol, there is a plethora of data showing a link to dementia.

Starting in 25-40 years, it will be interesting to see if cases of senile dementia increase among the non-vaccinated/recovered from Covid population relative to those who were vaccinated given that spike protein accumulation (for up to 4 years post-infection) in the brain is higher among non-vaccinated folks than vaccinated folks.
Rong, et al., "Persistence of spike protein at the skull-meninges-brain axis may contribute to the neurological sequelae of COVID-19" Cell Host Microbe. 2024 Dec 11;32(12):2112-2130.e10. doi: 10.1016/j.chom.2024.11.007. Epub 2024 Nov 29.

Well not excusing the behavior of the care worker, there is an enormous turnover in this industry. Long hours, low pay and dealing with sometimes very abusive dementia patients who are by no fault of their own confused and terrified about the situation they’re in and who’s taking care of them, cause the patient to lash out at workers. Eventually, the worker breaks down.
